image.thumb.jpeg.2e0c0a275dbad556de26177e6464ebf1.jpeg #106 Turned Yellow Recently. Was operating on Route C today. #102 & #104 are still Rainbow and should be Yellow by the end of 2017. #105 is Yellow now. And why are they changing TheBus logos to some 2002 & 2003 NewFlyer D60LFs? And when they change a 2003 Gillig Advantage into a Yellow Bus , they change TheBus logo to #230 - #263 , #280 - #297 and the #600 ( #601 - #665 and #667 - #677 ) Gillig Advantages.

#120 does not have a rare seat anymore. #120 has 100% Red Seats now.

Very Late Update!!! Around June Bus 831 had a partly brake problem.. I heard from a driver that 831 had an unexpected brake issue and caused  831 hitting into somewhat... but December 2017 it’s back in service.. it’s very similar to bus 802 having some similar issue...

Did you know that #105 & #106 are Yellow now?

All the rare seats are moving and #129 has 100% Red Seats.

If you don't know , this might happen Next March : #201 - #211 , #836 - #845 , #110 - #116 , and #30 - #33 might transfer to Kalihi

And #523 - #545 , #950 - #957 , #40 - #43 , and #170 - #176 might transfer to Pearl City next March.

I heard about that. That happened in Waianae.

Are there any Honolulu Buses that are going to have New Red Seats and take out all the Black Seats on like 2002 Gillig Phantom buses? The Honolulu Bus are having like New Black Seats for the 2003 NewFlyer ( the lowered numbers for the 2003 NewFlyer D60LF Honolulu Buses )  and Gillig Advantage Buses ( from the higher ones (1s ) ).

* For the 2002 Gillig Phantom Buses , I would like #838 , #845 , and #852 to have 100% Red Seats.

Interesting that OTS put only four new buses (674-677) on the road in 2017. Especially since we have 21-year old vehicles (the lower 300s) still in service.

The CPTDB wiki also lists 678-698 as part of our fleet. Have these buses been ordered, manufactured or delivered?

In any case, this may be our last order of 40-foot diesel buses as the Division of Purchasing website lists a Request for Interest for 40-foot all electric transit buses: RFI-DTS-1157909.

Good to see the roster section of the CPTDB wiki has been updated. However, it still lists 38 and 39 as being retired. Both were in service this week on route 503.

In the Retired section, the 1985 order from Saab-Scania consisted of units 800-846. Not quite as sure of the 1987 units. 501-585? 501-594? 501-595?

Gillig buses 774-784 from 1996 are still missing from the list. And there was no Gillig series 981-1004 in 1984.

The late 2013 Wikipedia article that I have as a bookmark lists the more recent Scanias as 501-595 in the historic fleet section.

image.thumb.jpeg.1fc96fa94e06f2b3bea6c19baf642d62.jpeg New Hybrid Bus! The numbers are R1 and R2. TheBus that is New is Battery Electric and Zero (0) Tailpipe Emissions! They're going to use these buses on trusted routes were it won't be vandalized. It's Kalihi Division ( Kalihi Garage ). It's either Gillig or NewFlyer bus.

It is a Proterra Catalyst bus! I saw it traveling down South Beretania a moment ago. I guess these are the 5 new electric buses that OTS ordered, which is weird because the Star Advertiser said they'd be made by Gillig.

Proterras eh? When I looked at the Division of Purchasing website, they mentioned a request of interest for 40ft battery-electric buses. I assumed that they were just going to survey the different bus builders for the bid. Didn't expect them to be on test drives.

I can't wait to see how they perform on these roads.
