newflyerinvero
Thought that it may be a good idea to get rid of some of those threads/topics which date back to August of 2006. Just an idea.
Board Admin A. Wong Posted December 20, 2007 Board Admin Report Share Posted December 20, 2007 The forum can do it automatically, but I'm all for keeping information, so I don't do it. Also one of the reasons the old CPTDB is still around.
M. Parsons
Thought that it may be a good idea to get rid of some of those threads/topics which date back to August of 2006. Just an idea. Keep 'em. I know at least in the Edmonton section there is a hell of a lot of data if someone ever wanted it.
Prevost
I'm all for keeping information too, lol. That's why my hard drive is so full and slow. It's a good idea to keep stuff around in case you wanna look back at some of them.
D40LF
I say keep it. There are times I have had to dig through past posts to find something. It is a wealth of information.
Mark Walton
Maybe set up an archive for threads either over a certain length and/or that haven't had any activity within a certain period?
Orion VIII
Maybe set up an archive for threads either over a certain length and/or that haven't had any activity within a certain period? What's the point? They are just as easy to search and read as they are.

mtltransitguy
Since I was wondering about the following, this seem like a good recycling of the thread. Instead of putting the new Coach forum in the Transit Lounge, why not put it with the other public transit discussion forums? It's no less of public transit than "aviation" and "railway", and both of those forums are in the Public Transit "group", in fact it seems wrong to NOT have the coach discussion with the others. After all, it's a form of intercity travel, just like aviation and rail. You could say that charters aren't included in this, but what about private jets and freight? They aren't really "Transit" either....no more than a coach charter is! I also suggest renaming it to "Motorcoach" instead of Highway coach... it just seems more fitting also. Emergency vehicles, now that is another story, it dosen't really fit in anywhere, so where it is now seem great.
Board Admin A. Wong Posted May 22, 2008 Board Admin Report Share Posted May 22, 2008 I might just do that.. thanks!
Board Admin A. Wong Posted May 23, 2008 Board Admin Report Share Posted May 23, 2008 Except there's not that much interest. A few threads suffice.
