Inner City Express :D. and i believe 3701-3703

about 5 arbocs are due aswell i think....

It's actually the Intercity Express, and according to information posted earlier in this thread they're supposed to be getting 7 arbocs (6 used per peak period with 1 spare).

Also, the City of Airdrie has updated their site with local service information. The supposed date for the start of ICE service is Monday September 20, and start of (new) local service is Friday October 1.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the Arbocs either... I would rather see them keep what they have in their local transit fleet right now. But, wishful thinking...

Yes Arboc's are a spitting image of the ELF basicaly. Same poor ride quality weird kneeling when it isnt supose too un reliable basicaly. Ez Rider is much better heck as i said even D30LFR or D35LFR would be better

First to start this off, I think there are some posts in the "Airdrie Commuter" thread, http://www.cptdb.ca/index.php?showtopic=44...t=0&start=0 , that should be moved over to this thread.

Today, I drove out to Airdrie to check out the D60LFR's and got photos of #3702 beside a plain white D60LFR decalled up in the new "ICE" livery as 'paratransitfellow' posted in the above mentioned thread. Looks like Calgary Transit's two tone blue colors are making a return with Airdrie Transit. Now, I suspect this bus is the one I spotted with Alberta plate BBD-3829 at Industrial Graphics a couple of weeks ago. Here is an image of the bus from that night: http://www.cptdb.ca/index.php?act=attach&a...st&id=26172 . Friday night (Saturday morning) after work, I went over to Industrial Graphics to see what I could find and found another plain white D60LFR there with plate BBD-3827 : http://www.awesysnet.ca/cptdb/uploads/1109...te-bbd-3827.jpg . More than likely, the D60LFR with plate BBD-3827 is still at Industrial Graphics and will be decalled up this week. Here is a photo of 3702: http://www.cptdb.ca/wiki/index.php?title=I...ransit_3702.jpg

3702 at the Airdrie First Student yard, so I guess that confirms the contractor.

Or maybe possibly First Student Driver Trainers are training the new operators for the buses. I thought about that after we were there. EDIT: Just got word from a close friend who is an operator at CT that he spotted the Airdrie Buses while they were out training and he noticed they had the safety vests which are typical of First Student.

It also occured to me... seeing the artic at FSC might well become a rare thing. They are refurbishing a building to be run by the City of Airdrie, near as I can recall, to operate the transit fleet out of.

Yeah, she was still parked up.looks like she hasnt moved . they've got her boxed in by behind a delivery truck. I had to look twice to catch her.I wonder if CT are playing nice and allowing Airdrie to get their units done up first, seeing as the launch date is rapidly approching.

And furthermore to CT being nice, could they conceivably spare any artics to send to Airdrie until theirs are back on the road? hell even a few 40fts would do the trick
