As mentioned in another thread, #7590 seems to be the first 1995 D40LF to go through rebuilding and is still being done as of December 7, 2007 at the Spring Gardens shops. #7556 was spotted yesterday inside Big Rig undergoing rebuild as well. There is at least one other 1995 D40LF at Big Rig being rebuilt as well, but I could not see a fleet number. Lets keep track of the 1995 rebuilds in this thread.

Has anyone spotted #'s 7590 or 7556 back in service at all? Thanks!

OK, I'm not sure but, I seen a white 93 or 95 D40lf today on the 72 near SG. It was white and it had the fleet number right in the middle of the front of the bus. It also had a bike rack it may of been 7556, but not sure

And that would be 7518 ! :-p ! Posed it for some pics today! Click on the following link to the 1993 D40LF thread: http://www.cptdb.ca/index.php?showtopic=29...mp;#entry146964

And a few photos of #'s 7556 and 7590 after recently being rebuilt.

So far, the following 1995 D40LF's have gone through rebuild and are plain white at this moment: #'s 7556, 7571, 7590. Today was the first time I knew about #7571.

This past Tuesday I saw plain white #7571 sitting inside Spring Gardens waiting to go out for the afternoon rush hour when I was there to take a bus out. Then one day later, I spot #7571 running on a route 56 out of Anderson Station (I was working out of Anderson Garage that day). And in the evening when I was heading back to the Anderson Garage (I had 5110 today - NICE BUS), I saw #7571 also heading into the Anderson Garage after working the all day peice on the 56. First plain white D40LF to be assigned out of teh Anderson Garage I suppose! :-p

Got photos of #7556 on route 2 yesterday afternoon showing it in the 'ghost' scheme, then later on I found #7571 inside Anderson Garage now striped in the current 3 stripe livery. See pics. Has anyone seen #7590 since the last post?

Why is that unit's heater on the roof?

From what I heard that bus was retro-fitted with a roof top heater (as the 7500 D40LFs heaters suck big time) as a test or fix for the poor heating systems they have. The 7600 on words were ordered with a rear thermo king heater system where the rear window used to be (correct me if I'm wrong but I did see unit number 8065 in SG with a thermo king rear heater system but not too sure on the earlier units)

Unit 7551 (unit with heater on roof) in white freshly rebuilt and in service today

Oh ya noticed that 7551 now in the 3 stripe livery

7556 is still running white as of this morning, spotted it going out of service at Brentwood from route 20.

I saw 7556 just last week still running plain white. Seems to be the only 7500 series at this point that is running plain white (Except for the roof stripes which are still there from before rebuild). I noticed #7553 inside the Garage at SG this afternoon freshly rebuilt and plain white so I wonder if that one will enter service with or without stripes?

Spotted 7581 this morning near SG - plain white, with black fleet number on the front positioned below the centre windshield post (pillar?). I assume all the rebuilds eventually are getting the three-color stripe scheme applied?

Hmm! I wondered what might happen with these units wether they get the new livery or not. The fact that the fleet number is centered below the windsheild tells me it may get the new livery. They did that to 7518 (1993 D40LF) earlier this year but at the time it seemed undecided wether or not any 40 footers would get the new scheme or not and then later 7518 got the new livery. Since then the EZ Rider II's have been changed to the new red livery and earlier this month #'s 8016-8065 started receiving the new scheme as well. So I am suspecting 7581 will get the new scheme! But, we shall see what happens....... . . . . #7556 ran in around plain white for some time as well and finally got her older 3 stripe scheme recently.

Had a look at your photos of 7518, and that's exactly what 7581 looked like when spotted yesterday. The black colour of the front fleet number is what puzzled me. It must be a temporary decal then, given that the new livery has white numbers on a red background.

And here are some shots of 7581 taken today at SG.
