Burlington transits 7024-03 was back in service today for the first time doing the 1, looking nice and shiny!
I'll believe the shiny part but I can't see an invero looking nice :)

Anything returnig from that amount of damage is a good thing. Welcome back 7024!!

I would have thought 7024 would have started on the route 8 or 61/62. Putting 7024-03 on the 1 is like throwing it to the wolves on the first day. Good to see it back though.

Why do you say that? With a complete body/engine rebuild done to the bus, it's running like it was when it was brand new. They're putting it to good use :) !

Back on Wednesday, the fishie was out on the 8 all day.

Meanwhile, I had rode Invero 7024-03 on the 4/5. It was riding as if it was brand new...including brand new shocks, new axles. Just everything about it felt new, including the fact that it didn't even have any ads on the inside!

Today being Friday...

Invero 7023, or 7009, I say either or those two as both of them have the same ads on them, was doing the HF assignments on the 12.

Invero 7017 was on the 11/15's HF runs.

And Wednesday, there were Blue Birds on the LF runs for both the 11 and 15. Today was slightly different, with the 11/15'S LF runs were done by Clssic 7055-87.

Other sightings:

4/5: Invero 7025, Blue Bird 7032

8: Invero 7021 (hf)

10: D40LF 7033 (minus the Enviro wrap), Classic 7004 (rush-hour).

1: D40LF 7037

  • 2 weeks later...

Two days in a row, including today, Invero 7009-03 was on the 12's highfloor runs.

Additionally, Invero 7021-03 was a highfloor violation on the 11/15.

A note about this bus. Apparently, at the rear of the driver side, the cord had snapped and was basically just hanging from the first flip-in window. After looking at it carefully, looks to me as if it had snapped right off, with some of the inner fibres being exposed, looking like wire. I wonder if this has vandalism written all over it?

The 12 had an Invero on the HF runs every day last week except thursday, which was 7055-87. Kind of a one extreme to the other type of thing. Also, 7022-03 was on the all day 8 on Friday.

Also, has anyone seen 7020-03 in a while? I swear this bus bus is never used during the summer months. Hopefully, it's at the bodyshop getting its front bumper and bike rack realligned after the accident it had over a year ago.

Back on Friday, some YRT members from this board were visiting the Burlington/Oakville area and wanted to get some HF's and an Invero, well, they did get a HF on the 6, being 7069-91.

Transferred to the 11-South, which was D40LF 7036-07. It was a route that no one tried before, so they tried it. Original plan was to take the HF run on the 11/15 at 2pm, but to their surprise, it was D40LF 7043-08.

The 10 was their next transfer, which was late by about 15 minutes. 7018-03 was also late by 15 minutes. Sadly, the one ahead of the D40LF that we had gotten on at 2:45pm (7041-07). No Inveros for us on this day.

Oakville's 14 was their last run to the Oakville GO, getting Orion VII # 4104.

To finish the sightings, all of them managed to get shots of all 7 of the 900 series Orion V's as well as 921-922, even two of the 95 series D40LF's. But, the sighting of sightings, we saw Jan driving a D40LFR on Route 200, perhaps late but all he did was go around the bus loop, slowing down just enough to get a shot in. :P

So its been on everyday for two weeks ehh, so I may go down there tomorrow after my appointment to ride it since I never did before. What's the best way to get it if I'm taking the 1 from hamilton?

What time are you coming to Burlington? I'm going to be there for 2:45, when it comes in to the B-GO.

I'm not sure, but nick did you get on 7079~94 on route 2 brant north? If so I was sitting near the HSR stop. And oakville 9108 was there, as well as 31~06, 38~07, and 44~08?

Yes. I boarded 79-94 3pm. However, an hour previous to that, I got off from the 2-South (44-08). I went across the centre pedestrian cross-walk and went to the ODSP office just ahead of the HSR/Oakville buses.

If I knew what you looked like, I would've stopped for a quick hello, but I had an appointment with an Employment Supports Specialist at 2.

However, other buses were:

4/5: 30-06, 31-06, 32-06 and 40-07

2/3: 79-94 & 33-06, 06-86 (RH)

3/2: 44-08 & 78-94, 04-85 (RH)

1: 09-03, 21-03, 23-03, 17-03 (RH/HF TRIPS), 12-83 (RH)

10: 38-07 along with 08-84 (RH)

11/15: 55-87

15/11: 54-87? & 43-08 (At the driver-side of this bus, an extra line like many of the other Classics' livery, may have gotten a bit of an updated paint job? I don't know, but it also had the bent lines at the back, too. I'm not confident that it was 54-87 that I had seen. I'm not sure if it had a rear ad or not as the only thing I saw at the rear was white, so...who knows. I'll definitely be needing some confirmation though.

12: 77-94 & 45-08

6: 66-91 & 35-06

I thoguht 912 was supposed to be finished and then preserved as a historical bus.

A hybrid on the 7, eh? Well, I guess it means that they can show up anywhere.

Has the tunnel route received hybrids?

NOthing major in Burlington other an Invero on a HF run on the 11/15's HF runs. 7020-03 was the unit in question.
