Well fully low floor now. They have been fully accessible for a few years now. Those Orion's had lifts.

In other news! They are so far up to bus 212 for the Van Hool refurbishment. There was another one inside MTB with no numbers and 2 more outside awaiting refurbishment.

These units will not going to retirement.

It feels like these units will keep until it reaches 18 years of age. (Assumption; it may stay longer or less.)

Considering that you have just given the ultimate non-answer - "maybe they're retire, maybe they won't?" - why bother posting other than to increase your post count?

What are you saying here? So they are not retiring according to you, but what was the point of the second sentence? The first line was good, but no need to post unconfirmed info. It's of no use.

Next time, you should only post confirmed info, please.

More detailed on the Spadina Subway change: https://www.yrt.ca/en/schedules-and-maps/ttc-line-1-subway-extension.aspx

  • For Routes 20 and 165, layover at the south end will be at Pioneer Station. Before 2 pm, southbound buses will serve Pioneer Village, York U then return to Pioneer Village. After 2 pm, buses will terminate at Pioneer Village, then deadhead to York U to start the northbound service; to travel to school you have to transfer to another bus (Purple, 96, 107 etc.) from Pioneer Village.
  • Weekend service between York U and Newmarket (96 Keele-Yonge) has been quietly taken off the plan
  • Route 26 between VMC and Vaughan Mills is now peak only (original plan was Monday-Sunday)
  • Viva Orange service will increase from every 45 to 20 minutes on weekends (this was confirmed by a service planner at VMC yesterday).

I hope everyone has had a chance to calm down. Please keep in mind moving forward: do not antagonize other members and do not contribute to a thread's decline. Simply report bad behaviour, and the administration will deal with it.

Transsee reported VIVA 1381 on VIVA Orange this morning. A traffic camera (screenshot below) has confirmed it!

Putting an artic on VIVA Orange is likely done in preparation for the large service changes this December.

Putting an artic on VIVA Orange is likely done in preparation for the large service changes this December. That makes me wonder - will they be running artics or 40 foot buses on the new VIVA Orange?

For whatever reason, YRT has the Sunday schedule set up so that a bus does the first round trip on Orange, then deadheads to Bernard Terminal to do two round trips on Blue. Since the bus is used on Blue, it gets an artic.

5134 is currently showing up on Orange. I'll have to check back in an hour to see if 1381 does indeed show up on Blue.

FYI, I know you're new to the board, but generally anything related to seeing a vehicle in service should go in the Today's Sightings thread, or Today's Special Sightings thread if it's, you know, "special". This prevents the "regular" agency thread from being clogged up with sighting-related posts, and it can be saved for more news-related items and discussions.

With the hour change, the time in http://yourstop.info for existing users is initialized to one hour in the future rather than the current time and as a result no live information will be shown.

To correct this, simply fetch the stop list again by going to Find and clicking on the city.

Yes, they are numbered in the 2XX digits for whatever reason. I think 521-540 would of been just fine....

Idk why they didn't go with that.

New schedules for the December service changes are now available, by selecting any date on the week of December 17 from the Schedule Finder.

One major change that was not publicized is the significant weekend service reduction on Route 20 Jane:

  • Saturdays: from every 14 to every 26 minutes
  • Sundays: from every 16 to every 30 minutes

This reduction may be due to a number of reasons, including:

  • Reduced Wonderland/Vaughan Mills passenger traffic during winter
  • Extended travel time to serve SmartCentres Terminal, Highway 407 and Pioneer Village
  • Introduction of articulated buses

Still, cutting service on a busy route connecting the newly-built subway and a major shopping centre/transit hub makes no sense to me...

On the flip side, at least routes 20 and 77 are being extended to run until approximately 3xm, 7 days per week, to meet the last northbound Line 1 train.
