Given how large York Region is, it's nice to see the big picture! I wonder if there'd be a few copies available at York U somewhere? The summary of Service Changes posted inside the bus shelter (uploaded rotated again?!?) seems like a poor compromise to the onboard flyers YRT used to distribute, again likely another COVID or even a cost-saving measure. I don't know how much of the riding population still doesn't have convenient access to the internet, but forcing people to check doesn't seem like the most equitable solution. Also Pre pandemic service should have been brought back right now since go bus workers may go on strike then local services may be very crowded. I think that if the strike does happen many agencies will be canibalizing drivers from other routes to run supplementary service or switch to artics if they're available. I don't think YRT has any additional resources in the event of a Go Transit strike. Considering that Blue and Purple/Purple A do operate with articulated buses every day including holidays. Orange can operate with articulated buses if required and the last time it was done is during the first few months of COVID-19 to ensure physical distancing due to seating restrictions. To replace the glass alone is probably a few thousand dollars plus labour. The body work isn't that bad but the door needs to be replaced. The articulated joint will likely need to be overhauled. I find it a bit odd, but a lot of the runs for routes that end at Cornell and also routes that end at Finch switch routes partway through the block. For example, 1113 began today on the first EB trip for route 2, switched to route 16, then back to route 2 later in the evening. A lot of the schedule blocks are similar and on weekends routes 1/2/16 trade buses partway through, and the same for weekdays between routes 1/14/16/25. Also maybe it’s coincidental, but I also noticed a lot of the longer runs end up having the long break that was seen in board periods prior to September, usually between the route switch. Maybe it’s a more effective way to give the drivers a break rather than sending out a new bus/driver to do one trip? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The paddles that started or interlined with those routes would just run their regular routes. For example the bus that does the 450/99/98E would just effectively run the 99 and 98E (omitting the 450). Do believe it was hit by a truck.
