Toro
Does Brampton still have D40LFs? Are 421 and 427 still active?

It occasionally also does PM rush pieces but not very often. I assume that 0427 is likely retired, as the MTO expired at the end of november and it hasnt been out since november 8th.

Hopefully YRT 312 lasts long enough, and hopefully the stars align, so that I can take a day after my finals to ride both on the same day... lol. Maybe even DRT 8470, assuming that's still active. But I digress.

Sad to see the end of the D40LF Era is near.
newflyerinvero
Came across this tidbit while going through things on the Brampton Transit website. In fact, I was looking for its list of the January 9th Service Improvements, but came across this: https://www.brampton.ca/EN/residents/transit/service-alerts/Pages/Transit-Updates.aspx#639 But here are the improvements: https://www.brampton.ca/EN/residents/transit/plan-your-trip/Pages/Service-Changes.aspx
ngdvd
Does anyone else have problems viewing the system map their browser? It just freezes and never fully loads, so I tried downloading it to view it Adobe Reader instead, and the PDF is 23MB. Yikes. Even Adobe Reader struggles to display it. Gil
I was going to screenshot it but it disappeared before I could - there was a bus on Transit55 that was headed northbound on Trafalgar Rd between Georgetown and Steeles. Is there a facility or shop in the area or was it a phantom signal? It would make for an interesting contract route from Halton Hills for say a route from Mount Pleasant GO to the Premium Outlet Mall via Georgetown. Not sure which routing would serve the most riders go south on either Trafalgar, Eighth or Ninth Line. Plus a place to loop would be needed unless you used the internal roads to do that. It would provide a connection to the mall and Milton Transit's 21 STEELES route plus additional service to Mount Pleasant GO and further connections into Brampton. They could, if requested also continue on to Lisgar GO for an additional GO/MiWay connection for Georgetown. I've seen GO buses deadheading from Georgetown down Ninth Line and onto Steeles so it's suitable for buses and it would serve the south end of Georgetown. Eighth Line becomes Main St. in Georgetown and would serve most of the main strip. Trafalgar would run the full length of Georgetown and likely service the hospital and have a straight shot down to the mall but would have the longest run through undeveloped parts of Halton Hills. In this What If scenario it would be up to Halton Hills to decide how much they want to spend and where they want the service to go.

Good chance it was an off route bus, there are some trips on the 11D branch that serve maple lodge north of Winston Churchill/Steeles and drivers have missed it due to poor route description’s. Or maintenance taking it for a road test but it’s not on their usual test path last option is Brampton does do a lot of charter work when booked through the city but I don’t believe those show up on T55 as there is no login/run for these

Trafalgar is four lines (whatever the north-south concession roads are called) from Winston Churchill if it was supposed to be an 11A. Quite a ways before you realize you were lost! The other thing I noticed with my first time using Transit55 for Brampton is that the position didn't match the location on the map. I was trying to track the Züm bus I was on (toggling back and forth between Brampton and Mississauga maps) hoping I'd make a MiWay connection and it looked like T55 was showing the map ahead of where it actually was. Waiting for reality to catch up to the website is an interesting feature! Combining both Brampton and Mississauga maps into a single one would be useful given the amount of cross-border traffic between both agencies. Showing it on T55 would require a bit of modifying, like prefixing the route numbers with a B or M. I wonder how or if the Hurontario LRT will show up on either map. H4 5600
I was able to find the bus you were talking about on transsee premium. It seems like it was 0807, and it looks like the tracker was glitching out on it and showing it in different locations.
BramptonTransitFan84
I have good and bad news regarding the 2 04's! So 0427 has come back with a fully renewed semi-annual that is valid for 6 months! However for 0421 it has been pulled to the side due to brake issues and the MTO as of right now is also expired, however it's unknown if the MTO is going to be renewed since the 04's are technically due for retirement

Prior to this it was 421 doing this run.
