I'm not sure if I prefer their method of greying out the affected routes or YRT's of removing the route altogether from the map. I suppose greying it out would signify it's a temporary (hopefully!) measure and not a permanent one. Either is still preferable to MiWay which continues to show the entire network pre-pandemic barring any route changes made since.
newflyerinvero
With this funding announcement, would it mean that they would, perhaps in September, to re introduce full service (unsure of school specials), precovid, without any other planned enhancements that may have been planned for September? I haven't seen anything specific about that.

I haven't seen anything specific about that. Only if needed, there are still many routes that even before Covid don’t exactly need high service levels ( 12,13,16,31/32 ) which still are not being brought back and most are within a 10-15 min walk to a main route so it’s low on their priority. they won’t be eliminated permanently but for now, no point in wasting funds. School routes ( if school starts in September ) would run for routes outside of the transit network like on mayfield and bramalea, however schools along routes might just be using the current Covid network

Although I’d normally agree, I haven’t done the 501 in quite some time and memos have been put out saying do not pick up in any circumstances inside VMC in the passed, perhaps this isn’t the case

York Transit
Is a non-Zum bus on 501 Queen rare? Spotted 1612 on the Rapidway in Vaughan.

Yeah it’s a rarity but also used as a last ditch effort to get the run covered if something happens, with covid going on there are extra conventional buses sitting around the city and they can be used on whatever route needs it 1517 was also used yesterday

There are a handful of routes from each agency that go into the other city that would be helpful to see them both to determine which bus is coming first. Maybe prefix the route with a B or M? Currently I'm flipping between both live maps. I also notice that the Brampton Transit branches (that are running) are identified. I'm sure MiWay identifies their branches in the data feed, but probably not as clearly as Brampton Transit? Overall, I love using this site!
Gil
I posed this question in the Spadina Extension thread and thought I'd cross-post it here. In light of the lack of a fare/transfer agreement between 905 agencies and the TTC, would it be possible to extend the 501 Züm from VMC down to Hwy. 407 to provide additional access to the GO Transit routes operating from there? The TTC no longer has a co-fare with GO, meaning a subway ride between the two stations would require a full fare. There's plenty of room at the Hwy. 407 station for another route. The 501 Züm branches heading to York U bypass the station and would only serve it heading westbound. If all branches of the 501 Züm served Hwy. 407 it'd allow people to catch an express trip bypassing Woodbridge.
