I'm sure those Setra's have a considerable amount of mileage. Why did they buy them in the first place? They got a good deal? Are they nice to drive at least?

Most of them had their Engine and Transmission Rebuilt. As far as I know, their client DSL, competes with Tai Pan on the Casino Rama line run hence they wanted something different. Setra's are more driver friendly compared to Prevost and MCI. Setra designed the dash and cockpit area with the driver in mind and not mention they are little more easier to parallel park compared to MCI and Prevost.

Found out from my sources, 2 ex-Go MCIs are at a Bus Garage called Maple Limousine in Brampton being repaired to road worthy standards. The current owner will be selling them once repaired. The "GO" decal has been removed and replaced by "NOT IN SERVICE" spray painted by using a stencil. Not sure if a full paint job comes with the sale.

saw one MCI D4500 with navy blue background today. It is acquired by Royal Coach company.

That would be this one...

A0002-141028.jpg

Royal Charter Services Inc. seems to have at least two units: this one (A0002) is repainted navy, and they also have ex-2129, which they have left in white.

Does anyone know how many of these units are still active?

Magnificent 47 - 4233BF which was probably new in 2011 or 2012 for replacing these ex GO coaches.

And this is likely an ex. GO

A list of ex-GO 102A3 dispositions. Figuring out which is which ex-GO unit is a whole different matter:

<Various Hotels> 47, 48, 56, 57, 58
Star Coach Lines 4942, 4943, 1503
McCoy Bus Service 401, 402, 403, 404, 405

*two 102A3's unaccounted for.

I suspect there is one company operating the shuttle services for the Sheraton, Embassy, Mariott Hotels and Magnificent tours. Here's what I have so far for their ex GO roster:

Embassy 47 = 102A3
Embassy 48 = 102A3

Check out the Wiki, it has a listing that should be fairly accurate.

And yes, that King Tours MCI is more than likely an ex-GO (likely acquired within the last 2 years).

Magnificent 47 was renumbered 7 and replated 522 4BH at some point. There were some funky renumberings going on.

With the 10-speed phasing out slowly, 2 were bought from Magic Bus company and one is already on a Vaughan Mills Shuttle wrap in service which should be 2216 or 17, one of the CAT CX-31 6-speed transmission. The other is 2218.

Another 10-speed is at Cherry St parking lot for the Parapan, it still has the old green livery still intact.

Lastly, found out now, not too sure if Kings Tours has the only one, found out the unit was ex-2125!

I wonder if the ZF units are less popular. I'm sure that operators wouldbprefer Allison units since the parts are more common.

Don't the ZF units get better fuel economy?

During auctions, the 6-speed auto are more popular, thus it increases the price higher!

The ZF AS Tronic are much less use, the body structure are more solid!

Articulated and I found ex-GO #2171 in one of the athlete convoys for the closing ceremonies. Neither of us could make it who the operator is.attachicon.gifUnknown 2171.jpg

I have a picture of the bus is Ottawa running on a charter. The legal name on the back of the bus is 2117941 Ontario Inc. which leads to a trucking company in Brampton.

They are parked at 235 Deerhurst Dr. in the 407 and Goreway Area. You will also notice Great Canadian (including Safeway units) and Swiftrans buses are parked at that same address.

It would appear I found units #5705 and #5707, operated by Can-ar at Union GO Terminal today. AFAIK, I guess these were either the #21xx or #22xx coaches built in 2002.

Saw the Vaughan Mills Shuttle from above, could see the former number 2227. This one was mostly white with black and red graphics, so unsure if its the one we've seen before just re-wrapped or if they got another one.

There's a bunch of these for sale. Some have been retrofitted with lavatories. I was wondering if they have EGR.

Here's one of them:

Saw an ex-GO coach today with the name Airlink Tours. It was still in GO paint. It was spotted just outside of Burlington on the 403 Eastbound

I saw this unit as well at the falls today. Or at least one of them if Airlink has lots of ex. GO units. One D4500 I saw was 2236.

Zoom tour ot the toronto coach has acquired at least one go mci d4500 ct the one with the old rear design.  I dont have the fleet number as they deliberly covered the fleet number with a white vinyl wrap.  I think it runs a shuttle service from kennedy to arviva building near birchmount.
