David D.
Well, unfortunatly Montreal people do cut the padded vinyl seats, which leads the mechanics have to replace a new insert. Ya unfortunatly, And the good folks who ride Lasalle garage buses seem to be coming up with new ways of trying to destroy the new seats with the material on them on our 2005s and borrowed 2006s. I found a seat that had been attempted to be lit on fire! Or partially was! since a chuck of the material looked burned away. Also, it seems with an expensive enough and thick enough graffiti marker u can still make a mess attempting to write on them (tho most seem to write on the fibreglass white rim around the material). Also seeing nasty stains sometimes are also a problem and i dont really want to know exactly what type of stains they are lol. Riding Lasalle buses i might have seen some of the dirtiest buses in this country at one time or another!! Some ppl on this forum might recall when i told them personally a story or two of some of the dirtiest buses I've ever been on in my life! One was on a 22 series one hot summer evening headed downtown on the 106 around 7pm. This was one of the dirtiest buses I've ever been on in my entire life! Out of 16 seats in the rear of this bus u could only sit on 3 or 4. Every seat, wall, part of the ceiling, and floor/windows, had something discusting on it! I dont know if there was a food fight on the bus before or what but the back had Kentucky Fried Chicken gravy all over the place with cheese curds and fries all over the place from a poutine which must have been thrown on the wall in the back, then there was sticky pepsi all over the floor, ceiling, and seats, with the cups of course scattered all over the place. There was french fries all over the place and cheese and gravy and garbage!! And on top of it it stunk!!! Being 30 degrees outside and who knows how hot inside our non-A/C'd STM bus!! It was so nasty that ppl kept going up the driver and telling her, which made her want to come take a look lol. So she did, and she just gave a face like and walked back and said she couldnt change the bus right now or else we'd never get to Angrignon metro anytime soon. Another one was also a 22 series Lasalle bus on the 350 one night. I got on the bus on Schevchenko corner Newman to take it home after coming from Tim Hortons and i get on this bus with my friend and I'm like Jesus Christ What the hell happened in here!!??? Did i miss all the action or what!??? There was beer all over the walls of the bus and im talking near the wheelchair seating here!! Forget the back! I'll get to tht later! So there was beer all over the place, and broken glass, and the driver suggested to me not to go to the back lol, which of course raised my curiousity so i went anyway LOL. Once i got there it was even worse, there was vomit all over the place which the smell only hit me when i walked to it, then i look at the seat on the passenger side over the wheel well facing the back of the bus and theres blood all over the seat and the window and the cord to ring the bell, there is also broken glass and beer everywhere as well, actually there was a broken bottle of Vodka in the back i believe. So i asked the driver what happened but he wasnt of the friendly type but just said well ppl did that lol. I'd like to know where they got off and how long tht bus ride was for the driver LOL. When i got on it was only me and my friend and about two others in the single seats. So i've pretty much seen the worst of the worst probably. Cant get much worse than that?? I wont get into the ppl pissing their pants and urine all over the place since i think we've all experienced that. I know i have since i was a little kid and unfortunatly it was on NewLooks that these Drunkards had accidents. And vomit is another normal thing from time to time. David D.
These buses were all doing the 106 this afternoon: 09/24/06 15-044 15-090 16-098 16-110 16-112 SL's 22-262 22-424 23-214 and an unknown classic was doing the
gmnewlook
No seats were more uncomfortable in the STM's/ STCUM's history than the total fibreglass seats that were on certain 55 and 56 series GM Classics. Apparently many were removed because so many ppl complained about them but i remember that lasalle garage still always had a couple of them till the very end. Im not talking about fibreglass and slight padding im talking total fibreglass and no padding whatsoever, simply darker blue paint painted where the padding should be... Basically like those grey or white/yellow/orange total fibreglass benches that many MTA New York City subway cars had and still have. And not like our MR 63s either, i believe its more thicker/harder and not comformed properly for comfort and i dont think it has the dent for ur spine like our MR 63s and now newly renovated MR 73s do. Where do you remember seeing this? I rode them when they entered service and I don't remember that. To me it's always been fiberglass and padding. The CTRSM had the hard fiberglass seats on their Fishbowls and 8-3XX Classics. When the driver turned, you slipped on your seat. I remember ridding the 55 and 56 when the were brand new and I don't recall seeing any seets like you mentioned. They were like gmnewlook described. I remember the first time I rode an 55 series (I can't recall the number) on the 30 St-Denis/St-Hubert I was 5 or 6 and the first thing I noticed is the fibergalss seats with padding. Matt Demers
St. Denis' 22-350 & 22-359 were doing the 15 and 150 respectively. If you go check out the roster in the farebox topic and look for 22-350 and 359, you will find out who really runs these two! Here's a pic: Those are the worst colored, worst seats ever to be put on a transit bus. -- 14-111 was doing the 141. 13-052 was doing the 141. 12-067 was doing the 67. 14-159 was doing the 80. 18-082 was on the 80. Legendre's 18-077 was on the 80 today, cool I guess... St. Denis's 15-134 and 17-084 were doing the 139 today.
Mystic
I remember vaguely, but my parents confirmed this, that the Metropolitain Provincal buses had fiberglass seating. And my grandmother used to tell me that she always slid out of the seats when turning fast corners. I should show her the photo there of the CTRSM bus and see if it resembled that. Let's hope though with our MP rebuild that we keep the comfortable New Look suburban seating in.

I'll have to change that on my bus roster booklet! So Frontenac got those buses by giving away which ones? Or was it just given those buses. * * * Lasalle's 18-043 which was doing the 24, has the old STCUM logo under the engine grill also with the old dark blue. As it sped by I could of sworn it was new, but pre-painted! Anjou's 25-201 on the 63 this morning. St. Denis' 18-030 was doing the 103/24/162 couldn't remember 14-049, 15-075, 12-081, 12-026 and another Classic we're all coming down St. Mathieu st. at the same time, around 4pm. Got on 15-058 on the 24 this morning, this has to be the only guaranteed or a one of the few Classics on the 24WB in the morning. Great bus, but the engine did have a strange sound but all was normal. It was pretty much empty during most of the ride. Legendre's 22-202 was parked at Guy about to do the 535, 3:
Tranzit
Saw 16-002 on the 97 and 16-005 on the 11 all in the space of about 2 minutes today on Mount Royal Blvd. (Big deal, okay.) :-)
Matt Demers
21-237 was on the 460 this morning. Annoying slow ride... 12-101 was Hors-Service near Cremazie Metro this morning. The front end got repainted! But being amazed by this, I forgot to check if it had a new farebox. 12-087 was doing the 100 this morning. 23-201 was doing the 161. 18-090 was doing the 192 tonight. Doesn't seem to be in good condition... And also, I forgot to post this for Saturday and yesterday but here goes: 12-024 was doing the 165 without the Priorite sign on both days. SMS
12-101 entered Garage Saint Laurent yetserday morning before 10:30. 13-090 and 12-010 provided two eastbound late evening runs on the 215 to accomodate workers who finish their shifts at 11 pm. My buddy 22-339 was offering service on 164 Dudemaine today. Aside from this, I didn't really see anything of importance today...

Anjou's 21-221 is doing the 535 right now. Got on 25-204 on the 24 today. Even though it was supposed to be a Classic. 15-137 which was parked at Guy-Concordia for the 935 was displaying “STM 01 MAI 2006” The side and rear were blank. David D.
Got on 25-204 on the 24 today. Even though it was supposed to be a Classic. That's another version of STM Smartassness of when a Classic doesnt show but they give u the next best thing to a classic -------------------------------------------------- Today there were two FORMATION's on the 110 around 2pm while i was waiting for mine, One was a Classic 13series non Lasalle bus going WB to lachine, and one was a 25series going EB to ANG behind our bus and eventually passing us. I had GFI equipped non-LS bus 24-234 on the 110 at 2pm. Rode the 92 Jean-Talon Ouest bus today but only partially, from Hippodrome parking lot, (not at the terminus) to CDN rd. where i saw like 3 classics coming on the 535 so i go the hell off my LFS lol. Screw it, didnt feel like riding to JT. or Parc. Then i got on my classic and rode it to PDA in the bus fanning seat

I saw a block away it wasn't going to be a classic and I was like %&*$ then I see it's 25-204!! I sat in the rear the last seat and I was able to see through the window!! Almost impossible on a LaSalle bus. I took the route again, 24WB at 5pm and it was supposed to be a Classic but 22-414 came instead.
Matt Demers
Anjou or Legendre's (can't tell who has this bus now) 18-085 was doing a Formation (training) run on Pie-IX this morning. Has new farebox. 15-019 was also doing the Formation run, but also picking up people on the 161. 18-029 is awfully loud for a first gen. St. Denis's 15-138 was doing the 93, weird! 15-074 was doing the 161 tonight. Anjou's 22-217 was doing the 139 again.
Matt Demers
22-359 was doing the 139. Got on it. 14-177 was doing the 139 tonight. No arrow. Recently repainted possibly rebuilt 14-172 was doing the 93 today. 14-160 was doing the 161. It was previously in LaSalle doing the 506. 18-080 was doing the 535 this morning. 14-102 was doing the 460. LaSalle's 24-243 and St. Denis's 18-025 were doing Specials tonight. 24-243 had STM employees in it. What was this for?

Matt Demers
12-051 and 12-053 were doing the 139 this morning. 15-081 was doing the 139. Ex-accident victim 14-047 was doing the 193. 12-098 was doing the 100. 25-203's back door didn't work LMAO! The driver "released" the door, but when this idiotic lady wanted to get on by the back door, people tried to open it. Didn't work, so they kept trying, never opened! Oh boy, a lot of people will be angry at that bus... 13-060 was doing the 141. 13-053 was doing the 141 too, with 13-052 right behind it heh. 80-040_Guy-Concordia
IIRC 22-362 was doing a Formation run on the 535 this morning. It picked up passengers and started from Guy NB. St. Denis' 14-159 was doing the 535 this morning, it had no rear url. Yesterday it was doing a extra on the 66. Anjou's 25-205 is still at LaSalle, got on it doing the 66 this morning. Then did the 211 at 4pm. Frontenac's 14-058 or 059 was doing the 144 this morning. And here's another sighting but someone else's blog: Blackout in the Metro, http://montreal.metblogs.com/archives/2006...ut_in_a_m.phtml and this happened today. If you look closely you'll see that the ad's have special priority on the lights over the station!
Matt Demers
12-078 as Hors-Service on Pie-IX tonight. The 1 in the front is peeling off. 22-356 was doing the 139.
