Today's Sightings

Recommended Posts

Tuesday: caught 26-010 on the 107, run 17.

Today: Caught 29-095 on the 107, with Faraday bells. 2 hours later, I made the very serious mistake of taking 30-010 on the 129, run 103-26. Wish I knew 22-323 would be dispatched on that route half an hour later!

The run 129-45 is not tracking today. Spotted 24-220 going southbound on Côte-Ste-Catherine, but couldn't read the destination sign to confirm it's on the 129. Screw that luggage rack, blocked my view.

I made a similar mistake yesterday.

26-020 was marginally busy and running late on the 90-E, so I decided to wait an extra 2 minutes and take the SN extra which wasn't tracking. Lo and behold, it was 30-012. :( The bus after ended up being 26-068, so I could have waited for that!

Later on, I went to take the 17:17 WB 90 departure (run 90-21). Earlier in the day, 26-016 was tracking on this run but it unfortunately got changed to 29-107. It's missing the double seats across from the rear door.

Today, I rode two 2008's and a 2016 hybrid (28-066, 28-009, 36-032). A significant improvement, but not very interesting.

The STM is taking delivery of the Galland coaches, spotted a few with the STM yellow "formation" pancarte circling around Namur station right now. Seems like they're trying different routing possibilities of the 919 shuttle. Half an hour ago, a coach that I didn't catch the number stopped in front of the Harvey's on Décarie (that's where the 919 stop will be located), turned left on Paré, left on Décarie southbound, right on des Jockeys, left on Jean-Talon. A little while ago, I saw units 4120 and 481 stopping in front of Harvey's, turned right on Paré, right on Mountain Sights and left on Jean-Talon. The right turn onto Mountain Sights from Paré is doable by an LFS but with a coach it's really difficult, I think they may not stick to this routing the 92 currently uses. The coaches have extra large numbers on the roof.

Edit: also saw unit #480 going north on Décarie.

Yesterday:

• I took 79-641 on the green line in the morning. It has the nice pleasant old terminus announcement.

Today:

• SL's 28-073 was on the 104 this afternoon.

• SL's 28-018 was on the 113 this afternoon.

• 27-029 was on the 106 this evening.

• MR's 25-206 and AN's 39-075 were on the 105 this evening.

• According the Felix's tracking app, 39-149 is currently on the 90.

39-149 is on the 107 running out of LaSalle. Will LS receive hybrids this year?

It would make sense if LS receives the next batch of hybrids, as they don't have the new hybrids yet. 39-149 is probably at LS temporarily to train staff on these hybrid buses (perhaps someone can confirm this). When CT SD reopens and assuming that LS returns the 2nd gen 29-0XX's to SD, LS should have space to store some new hybrids.

LE 24-264 was on the 128.

AN 28-094 was on the 213.

Legendre is also supposed to receive hybrids from what I read here... but hey, with more than 400 new buses the STM will have enough for every garage. According to the STM we're supposed to receive the first 25 this year, then 30 per month next year.

Today... 24-231 was on the 92.

Also spotted Galland #4121 and #8170 on Mountain Sights with yellow formation pancarte.

Edit: #480 just passed on Mountain Sights.

@Gerbil I apologize for a really late reply to your inquiry about 24-220's plate. It still has the original A 46637 plate.

Yesterday:

26-048 was on the 29 and 26-073 was on the 15.

26-051 was parked outside Frontenac. This bus has experimental wiper arms or wiper blades.

24-280 was on the 189. It has a "marbles bouncing around" sound when the engine accelerates. ?

24-230 was on the 90.

And today, 24-223 was on the 161 this morning.

Gallant #4120 is in "formation" on the 968 even if the trainbus routes will probably be cancelled for the next board period, since CDPQi announced 2 hours ago that construction works will start in April instead of January.

There is not a lot of place at the Roxboro-Pierrefonds loop but it's doable.

I took 28-705 on the 90-E at 8:20 yesterday morning. The tracker wasn't working.

There was an ex-STM cutaway operating on a construction worker shuttle near Atwater:

39-149 was on the 90 today, so I decided to go for a ride on the 15:35 EB departure. The highest I'd taken so far had been 39-036.

There was a note from the manufacturer of the ad rack:

Notably, the lights on the curb side stayed on even when the front door was closed.

I also rode SL 28-018 on the 90-W around 12:15.

If I understood correctly, the light stays on forever on that bus? Normally it turns off after a few seconds the door closed.

28-047 was on the 107X.

Caught 29-135 on the 107. Run 37.

Spotted Galland #4120 testing around Namur this morning.
