This morning I saw many bus drivers on training at Côte-Vertu metro. I saw one on the 121, 174 and 470. I also saw two other bus drivers in training roaming around the area.

36-901 with destination sign set to "Chauffeur en formation" two mornings in a row at Mansfield and St-Jacques, clearly training for route 36 and using the charging station at SV-OACI.

PM rush, 21847 on the 47!!

Today:

  • LE 24-273 was the 90-E in front of mine this morning at 7:40. It was doing SL extra 196-62.
  • I took 24-281 on the 144-E at 8:17 (LS extra). Possibly my last 2002-2004 ride on the 144 for a few months. There is a FR extra next board period doing the 6:48 EB departure, but that's a little early for me.
  • SN 24-226 was laying over at Dorval as the 485X. This trip interlines from the 202I and is the only 485 departure to start at Dorval (westbound). It is a SL run.
  • FR 26-041 was the 90-W after mine at 17:23.
  • FR 26-055 was on the 51 this evening. It has the old style FR bumper.

Yesterday:

  • I took AN 30-208 on the 51-W around 21:40.

Today:

  • 30-001 broke down on the 90-E at St. Jacques/West Broadway. It was parked there around 8:20, but was supposed to be the 8:06 departure (SN extra 90-15). 25-218 (8:16 departure) took on the passengers.
  • I took 37-096 on the 90-E at 8:20 (SN extra 90-05). It was running 10 minutes late (8:11 departure).
  • 24-230 was on the 105-W at Vendome around 17:45 (LS extra 123-38).
  • 26-042 was on the 104-E at St. Jacques/Beaconsfield around 17:55.

The down side to the summer board period (for me) is that PM rush hour extras on the 90 start at Atwater rather than as school specials, so I can't tell which bus they will have in advance.

I took 24-291 on the 90-E this morning around 8:20. It was doing training (3 drivers accompanying the one actually driving the bus). It's lucky my hours are flexible because the trainee was ridiculously slow. For example, it took us two light cycles to turn right from De Maisonneuve onto Ste. Catherine, and we were second in line the first time it turned green.

She was half an hour late when I got on (7:50 departure, run 90-22) and we fell 20 minutes further behind by the time we reached Atwater. 5 other 90's passed us along the way: 29-027, 28-131 (SL extra), 36-026 (SN extra), 29-065, 29-089.

In contrast, the trainee I had last week managed to be on time the whole way (and the westbound direction is much more challenging IMO).

AN 28-025 was on the 90-W leaving Atwater at 16:04.

Based on the amount of drivers onboard, this was a driver that is still in the real training process of the job. The regular bus assigned to this run would of been told to deadhead to the opposite terminal and wait there for his/her next departure and this bus (assigned 600-XXX) would take over the run. These runs last a full shift, they drive routes of a certain division all day, taking half trips, sometime full trips on quieter routes. despite being that late, the rest of the trips on that run were done on time by the regualar driver.

Not the doors found on the diesels, but the ones found in the 2019 hybrids.

Yesterday: 37-024 was on the 16 with FR stickers.

I mean basically we've been having the same doors on the hybrids since 2016.

Vapor doors are the ones found on the older units excluding 31-237. Vapor being the company.

On the newer buses (36-001+) we have MASATS doors.

The doors on the older buses are pneumatic, no? The 39-XXX have electric doors made by Vapor, as opposed to electric doors made by Masats.

MR 30-079 was on the 57-E at Atwater around 18:35.

I took 29-047 on the 90-W at 18:45. The iBus wasn't working, which might explain why @West Island Transit Fan's spreadsheet says it has been missing since April.

The construction at Vendome has De Maisonneuve fully closed. Also, St. Jacques westbound is narrowed to one lane before Cavendish, so today was a nightmare in the Vendome region. I saw some 90 buses were running over 45 minutes late during PM rush.

Luckily, I started and ended late, so I mostly managed to avoid the traffic caused by it.

I took 30-039 on the 90-E at 11:07. It was on run 24-04, which does three trips on the 24 during AM rush, then various other routes for the rest of the day, but only a few trips on each, hence why it maintains the 24-XX run number.

I took 29-116 on the 90-W at 20:52. The previous round trip for this run (168-54) was cancelled and as per my iteration of Felix's site loaded at 18:00, 28-064 was doing this run earlier. 29-116 did the 411-W at 18:15, so I wonder if I had the same driver from that 411 trip since it doesn't seem like much time.

I get to ride the 39s often and they are the exact same doors as the 36-000 (hybrids) to 38-000.

They will revert back to Vapor in the next order, if they follow their promises.

See here, where it clearly says it's for the 2020 order.
