Champagne?  Didn't the City change Champagne Avenue North to City Centre Avenue several years ago?

The mayor talking about putting CCTV camera's in the By-Ward Market because of the recent shoots?

Hello!!

Instead of that how about  putting CCTV camera's on all buses not just the new ones /LRT  & O-Trains? I'll bet more issues occur on buses then the By-Ward Market?

I just don't understand, in general why people don't want to address the root cause which is gang violence and violent people.

if I also might interject it's because a lot of these vehicles will become scrap in a few years after Stage 2 opens.

For first part of your answer, simply put if actually address the issue at had because of the nature of individuals involed two things will be said:

not point at you Loud-Invero but the question

1)Your racial profiling

2)your a racist

not saying its right, but that's what they'll say.

Hey MCIBUS,

Nowhere in his post is there any bit of racism.

And also, what does the mayor wanting CCTV in the Byward Market have to do with transit? Absolutely nothing.

First I wasn't referring to his comment as racism, but as for gang activity. If you check police statics those individual of colour are the highest arrested for gang activity. Not saying that's right and could be consider racial profiling or racism..

The second part is there more to the affect that because of the recent shootings in the market the mayor wants CCTV camera's in the market. Then how about the stabbings that have occurred on OC buses in the last few years or other assaults? Just point out if your going to use the excuse to monitor certain areas of the city due criminal activity, then  the same could be said about the safety on OC buses . There been fights, stabbing sexual assaults just to name a few that have occurred on OC buses especially the artics.

Looks like I found an article. It was a double stabbing near Dominion Stn. (Of course the 94 would be in the scene, lol.)

EDIT: I see it's been posted already in the general discussion; my apologies

That was the same route where another stabbing occurred at Lincoln few years back. https://ottawa.ctvnews.ca/video?clipId=663807

Guys please keep in mind this is the OC and STO service disruptions thread and not the GOA News thread or OC Misc. thread. Thanks
