Coordination doesn't mean accommodation. Stakeholders exercise their jurisdictional power and control over their assets and coordinate downwards. That's what happened when the NCC, through the RCMP, closed the eastbound parkway and all access points early. At no point was it opened to the convoy.

There is a special shuttle bus will be operating between MacKenzie King Bridge and Rideau Centre after 10:30pm until 2am due to Rideau Centre being closed to public access (as a direct result of the Convoy).

According to Sto.ca ALL service to Ottawa is Suspended.

 

UPDATE

Due to the protest, service is suspended in Ottawa until further notice.

Customers wishing to go to Ottawa can get off at the Terrasses de la Chaudière or at the Canadian Museum of History and cross on foot.

OC routes on detour through the core

Here’s a brief rundown of the routes on detour, things are constantly changing but it might help some

Routes 6,7 from greenboro and Carleton will be terminating at Scott/Preston st ( pimisi station ) From bank left Gladstone, right preston. Opposite for return to greenboro/Carleton.

Route 11 from Lincoln Fields/Bayshore will terminate at preston/Scott. From somerset left preston to Scott st Opposite for return to Lincoln/Bayshore

Route 14 from Tunney’s will terminate at Scott/preston. From Gladstone left preston to pimisi Opposite for return to Tunney’s.

Route 16 from westboro will terminate at bayview station.

Routes 6,7,14,15,18 from the east end ( Blair, st Laurent, Springfield maple lane ) will be terminating at Rideau and Mackenzie King and start at that intersection by the gas station

I don’t have exact info for routes 5,16 ( east end ) and 19 as they keep changing… so pretty much just take the train if you’re going downtown as these detours will have to remain in place till the protest ends

Checking the traffic cameras, Mackenzie King bridge is closed along with traffic backed up. Since there is no other safe place for buses to layup in the area, Hurdman is the only available option that is away from the demonstration along with maintain connections between NightBus routes for those transferring.

If the demonstration continues into tomorrow night, expect the detour to take effect around 11 PM Sunday once the trains finish for the night.

NightBus routes will terminate at Hurdman via Parkdale and Highway 417  for western routes (N57, N61, N75) while eastern routes (N39, N45, N97) will be shortened to Hurdman Platform B. With no service between Tunney's and Hurdman when trains stop running for the night between 1 AM until 5 AM.

Sto update for Feb 3rd

[ FEBRUARY 2 - 6pm - UPDATE]
For Thursday, February 3, lines 18, 28 and 58, serving Tunney's Pasture, will return to their normal route for the whole day.

The 400 lines will continue to ensure the link between the Terrasses de la Chaudière and the Pimisi station of the O-Train via the Chaudiere bridge.

Note that the usual two (2) hours delay for correspondence is still suspended until further notice, thus facilitating your correspondence on the OC Transpo network and/or your return on the STO network.
