It already visited Calgary Transit!

Caught up with the bus again on Friday. Probably my last shot of it.

is it an actual production vehicle for AVTA for just the demo in burgundy color before?  I am wondering if anyone got a VIN for it

854 alive and well in Downtown Edmonton during the PM peak. Yes, it seems rumours of their demise were exaggerated.

856 out on Sunday,  Guess it's not retired like some suggested earlier in this thread!

Thanks for letting me know! I'm sorry I bothered you about those buses being retired last time and for changing my account.

Hope we get back on track and I also apologize for going off topic.

Production vehicle for AVTA. They are happy with BYD and have been ordering them. Also LAMTA is getting some for the Silver BRT line.

That one is not a production vehicle for the AVTA.

There is a bit of information on the St. Albert electric bus program toward the bottom of the following article:

https://www.act-news.com/news/transit-leading-the-way-toward-heavy-duty-electrification/

It sounds like they've been pleased with the range, and the fuel-cost savings have been substantial.

StAT’s diesel buses cost $0.45 to $0.50 per km; the new battery-electric units are averaging about $0.09 per km.
