M. Parsons
I think we had something like this before on the old board. So... what is wrong with this photo? Nothing has been photoshopped.

Modulator
Looks more to me like the bus made the turn, but the poles didn't follow... Yep. The switch is positioned such that you have to make the turn pretty quickly in order to activate the switch. These fine trainees appear to have taken it too wide. captaintrolley
looks like the shoes arent running any wire but are exactly parallell to the actual lines! The shoes are on the NB wire but the bus has turned EB. That's the switch on 101 Street and 102 Avenue NB --> EB. The positional (selectric) switch didn't activate. captaintrolley
I think the captain was responding to James' bizarre postulation. Thanks Modulator. Yes, I was responding to 'James' bizarre postulation'. I did have James' comment in quotation marks. However I should have read ALL the posts before commenting, however since it was a new 'thread' I started from the 'top'. Current 'threads' I just start from the last unread post. James
This attitude of people is exactly what i mean. just because i stated what it looked like to me does not make it bizarre. Sorry you guys dont see a lot the way i do... so if you dont like it you dont need to comment. straight forward
M. Example: you comment re the Barp guestbook in regards to a certain individual that most try to avoid like the plague.

However there is a joke as it was against that individual we all try to avoid, however this one was some jack ass insulting someone for seeing what they see. just because i didnt see one trolley pole down, doesnt mean that my view is bizarre. From what i saw it looked like the retrievers did what they were supposed to. catch it adn they were side by side but just swung over a bit. what is wrong with that?? nothing. The bus had not dewired at that point. The wires are not too visable because of the way I had to take the photograph. Largely thanks to a cloudy day (which actually allowed for a good photo... would have been shooting directly into the sun otherwise) some of the lighter areas in the image were washed out, some of the trolley overhead being one of the victims. I believe the retrievers did work half decently though. I don't recall seeing poles flying everywhere.

MCW Metrobus
Call me crazy, but I'm going to try to put this topic back on track. There is something wrong with this photo, but, had the photo been taken about 5 or 6 years ago, it would have been perfectly normal. Trivia question is, why? I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say it possibly has something to do with the destination sign or the bus being in the wrong spot? That appears to be the #4 bus stop, not the #100? That appears to be the #4 bus stop, not the #100? Take a look at the bus stop sign... The bus is in Bay 4... The route 100 is supposed to stop there- it is listed on the bus stop sign... MCW Metrobus
Two fleet # because of bike rack. Sign says "via trapp", sounds like booby trap! Nope and nope. Having two fleet numbers displayed is not uncommon. The routing "Via Trapp" is a valid routing for the #100, I think in the afternoon, every other trip uses that routing. This is actually fairly simple...
