With more 80xx's getting bike racks, this better mean that more VII's will go onto the 29.

Haven't you read all his posts in the summer about how he wants more VIIs on 29? :o

Did 8051 have the same bike rack as the ones the 7900s and 9400s have?

Yes it did. I'm also guessing that it came from the remaining retired 92XX. Because when they're retired the racks were taken and wasn't installed on any other units.

Of the 7900's, I have 7940/42-45/48-54 as not having racks or mounts.Dan
are you sure 7941, 7946, and 7947 have racks??????
If all 50 went to the 7900s then the TTC purchased an extra 14, since 64 7900s have bike racks.
NO. You're missing some of the story. When all 7900's was out and the ones equiped with the bike rack there were 18 92XX's left when that happened. So what i'm saying is that there were spares when they're retired.

Maybe it was in an accident?

this is the first thing people would have thought of. But i think it isn't an accident. 3 days ago i saw it with a bike rack. The 8012 driver i've talked to for the last 2 weeks told me that they're getting new bike rack models or something like that due the those bike racks blocking the beem lights or something. It's hard to believe that it was from an accident.

OK, but how do you explain the new bumper? <_<

7924 didn't have a bike rack the last time I saw it, which was on Sept.21. I don't know if the rack got re-installed or not. Anyone spot 7924 lately?

-Ryan

Saw it today on 196 with only the mounting hardware, not the rack itself.

Too bad my new smartphone with camera has not entered service yet.
