So i far I have seen in service 1601, 1605, 1606 (today on route 100) and 1607 for articulated hybrid buses and 1610 to 1616 (1615 today on route 35, 1614 today on route 41) for the 40-foot hybrid for the 16xx. Now that my work is back downtown since Thursday, I will be able to spot more of the newer buses

1602 at Station Les Galeries de Hull just before 4:30 PM (didn't catch the route number)

Not sure of the total buses this year, they were planning 51 buses for the 2016-2017-2018 period so 17/year - 15 articulated buses and 36 standard buses. The only buses not seen so far by any of us are 1603, 1609 and anything over 1616 depending on the exact number for 2016

http://www.sto.ca/index.php?id=87&L=en&tx_ttnews[backPid]=2&tx_ttnews[tt_news]=8296&cHash=a717576e0703458fd70d5d369a521d2b

Edit: 1609 should be an articulated bus and 1616 is the highest one for this year. Next year it will be  12 standard buses and 6 artics and in 2018 it will be 17 standard buses.

Also I saw 1603 today so that leaves only 1609 to be founded.

The '89 Classics are still active. I saw 8907 yesterday afternoon during the PM rush hour, although I did not note what route it was on.

Yes I know the 89s are still active. I'm counting to see how many classics are left so that someone can edit STO Classics on CPTDB wiki since I don't have permission to do so.

More Classics to add to the list:

8907, 9213, 9216, 9218, 9402, 9424, 9516 & 9519

the total is now 36

I did ride 8906 last month and I believe is it still active too.

The 94's are in excellent shape, I think they will be around for the next 2 years but the 95's are in bad shape, 9516 may be gone soon and I'm not sure about 9512 & 9519 in the new STO logos.

Spotted 7901 on route 25 around 4:19 PM. The first fishbowl I've seen in 9 years!!!

Not the best picture.

I don't think so. Although, lately I have not been following the movements of the classics.

I wonder when all is said and done, whether the STO will preserve a Classic in a few years time? Proportionally, Classics have played a bigger/more important role in STO's overall fleet than the Classics did with OC. STO bought them every year except '87 from '84 until they took the last ones off the line in '97. Whereas OC only ever had '84s, '85's, '87s, '89s, '91s and '93s.

STO never had Classics from '93.

Has anyone seen 1604 or 1609 in service yet?

I don't think I did when I was there on Monday. The newest bus I saw was 1614.

It's possible, but we'll have to wait and see.  Keep in mind that the STO had marked 8401 for preservation, but it ended up being retired after donating its engine to 8202.

Spotted at 1415 an ex-Calgary Classic crossing the Portage into Ottawa. That's rather early in the afternoon for a Classic to be out and about.

Saw a photo of artic hybrid 1608 in a closed facebook group. Since we know that 1610 is a 40 ft hybrid, we need to look for 1609 to see the actual numbers for artics and 40 ft buses for this year.

Not all that rare as I've seen classics out mid day in the past.
