This is about the discussion about the Radio Energie ad.

One of the 07xx now has a new black ad wrap of Radio Energie.

STO Nova 0005 used during the strongman competition of this weekend's Gatineau Balloon Festival. This bus was being pulled by competitors. Weight 17 tons. Missing Side + Front Destination signs for some reason.

When I was STO in July, 0005 was in that exact condition beside the re-fuel station at the STO Garage. Its suspension was completely to the ground so it has not been in service since the Casino wrap was removed, and probably has not left STO property since exept for "Strong Man" competition.

This bus was used for sure after the Casino wrap was taken off. It was in service but with an all white paint job.

So all the 07's are now out - 0716 was on the 77 today near the Alexandra Bridge. Still haven't found the 07xx bus with the Radio Energie wrap. It was a 07 because of the Voith transmission I've heard.

Rode 0709 taday Driver said the bus was slow on take-off. I asked him about the ramp and he told me STO disconnects them and screws them in to the body. He did not atempt to take it out but the wheelchair seats on the 07 are not bolted down like the 02. weird

Rode 8413 today. Damn, that thing is slow. If 8401 is the biggest piece of crap that STO has, I'd hate to ride 8401.

Saw 0005 yesterday, the ad is gone.

0313 and 0321 have rear wraps for insurance companies whose names I can never remember.

STO seems to be having bad luck today.

9602 and possibly 0012 appear to have crapped out on the 50 this evening. 9602 was on the side with the pylons behind it and all I could make out on 0012 was the driver staring at the dash.

Rode 9007 on the 98 this morning. Damn, that's a nice bus :o

Otherwise:9004 on 57

0304 on 49

Evening:0509 on 49

9408 on 59 (Has scratchitti on the rear right window with 'KIEV' written in three different ways :S)

0012/9208 on 98

Well, with 0012, it was more like sat in it. Saw it coming, and I thought 'Guess there was nothing major wrong with it' (See above post). Then, as soon as I sat down, the engine shut off. Had to ride 9208. I have a feeling that bus will be one of the next ones to get the ax.

If it was in STO livery, it was 8401. If it was basically just white with a black STO logo, it was 8413. Another difference is that 8401 has the green signs (I forget what you call them), and 8413 has the Amber LED Sign.

That is weird. The only 3 digit route I know of on the STO, is the 300! Will look into that.,

Their school routes is 3 digits. But I heard that they don't display their number when in service but instead, have their number on the run numbers. Someone please add onto this as I don't work for STO.

Most of the school runs have only the name of the school displayed in the destination sign. In the past I think the regular number along the destination was displayed, but I think they've stopped that because possibly of complaints by passengers who've though that they intentionally skipping the stops along the portion of the regular route. Though I have spotted some drivers still displaying sometimes the number of the regular route on the destination, like one bus from the Mont-Bleu school displayed 33 Cite-des-Jeunes or 33 Freeman. So If you for example a sign displaying Ecole Secondaire Mont-Bleu, Ecole Secondaire de l'Ile, College Nouvelles-Frontieres, College Saint-Alexandre or Ecole Secondaire Grande-Riviere, these are the school runs.

I've noticed that the 33 has various names of the destination when they end at Freeman. In addition I have seen a 33 Freeman/Hautes Plaines and in the past I have seen a 33 Centre Asticou. Sometimes some of the 33's starting from the Les Promenades that ends in Ottawa had sometimes the 33 Freeman or 33 Gabrielle-Roy displayed before changing to the regular Ottawa sign. On the 39, sometimes I can the Freeman/ Le Plateau/Les Promenades sign in Ottawa or simply les Promenades and sometimes just Le Plateau or Freeman/Le Plateau before they change to Les Promenades. On the opposite way, sometimes there are the Freeman/Le Plateau/Ottawa or Freeman or simply Ottawa via Portage. They are also doing the same thing on the 33, but haven't seen once a sign with Freeman/Les Promenades. However, on the 77, Les Promenades is never displayed on the destination sign in both directions, maybe they should do that soon

Finally, they have added some new Tag-FM ads on the driver side, but have kept the older ones on those that already some. The new one are a bit different with the slogan and logo being a bit bigger then the older ones. The new ones are on 0305, 0312, 0318 and 0709 (those that I have spotted). Among those who had the older ones includes (some) 0405, 0409, 0502, 0513, 0609 and 0613

9602 is back on the road. (Then again, so was 0012)

As for the school routes: Yes, the school route numbers are usually only displayed on the run box. However, I have seen some school specials going down Taché that display '37 Ecole Secondaire De L'Ile' or something like that.

Noticed a bus stop sign screw-up this afternoon.

For some reason, one of the stops on the other side of Taché (Near Aylmer) lists the 36 as one of the routes it serves :S. 36 turns off on St-Joseph.

Saw 0517 on the 96. Almost got a pic of it, but had the camera set all wrong. The good vantage point was taken up by all the 'cool' kids. (I think I got stoned from inhaling the fumes )

BTW, 0702 already has a few nice gouges on the rear-right side. I wouldn't be surprised if this was from the time I had it on the Interzone and I heard three bangs (as opposed to two) while going over the temporary bridge (as that was when I'd first noticed it, but never posted about it until now).
