There Is A Bus With 082 In Sarnia Sounds Like One Of The New Buses Is In?

That`s great. I`m going back to Guelph tomorrow so I won`t be able to get a pic of the bus.

It was only a few days ago that City Council approved the 2 bus tender. Did the tender even go in yet? It doesn't make sense to me that they would be in Sarnia now. I think there would still need to be a tender out to Orion, Blue Bird & El Dorado.

771 was the last Fishbowl to leave the yard.

Can anyone find some info on 961 and 975? and if someone can get a pic of 974 since the wrap has been taken off. (the livery is different than the other ELF`s.) Thanx.

It would be rather strange to see 771 back from the dead. When I saw 771 at the Sarnia Transit garage it was retired & in rough shape. It was missing the GM plate and they also blacked out the Sarnia Transit name on both sides.

Funny how those fishbowls are able to survive longer then the 3 Orion V's or the 2 MCI Classics which are all 40 foot buses. The fishies are too, right?

If Sarnia's seen their ridership increase, I say bring back those Classics and V's into service.

081 or 082 (one of the new buses), 961 and 974 please.

Is 081 and 082 going to be the fleet numbers of the new low floor buses? Are they also going to be El Dorado EZ Rider II Max?

Since when did the service on Saturday nights was extended to 10:45pm? Were there also other route changes?

Secondly, since that I thought those fleet numbers of the new buses as in the 08 series, I guess they're not even around as of yet. Or, are those 081 and 082 Orion I's? Just a bit confused.

In going through the Council minutes on the City of Sarnia website, a meeting in December showed the approval for two new buses (32' long) with the funds going to City View Bus Sales. City View is the El Dorado dealer for Canada so I would imagine that the buses will be EZ Rider II buses.

Yeah, they will be EZ-Rider MAX, in which I remember spoken to the rep.

Well it took me a while to think about the numbers. Here`s how it goes.

052 is a 1994 Orion 5 (05.505). It was bought in 2005 and is the second bus model bought for sarnia.

044 is a 1991 Orion 1 (01.507). It was bought in 2004 (04) and is the forth (4) and last model bought for that year. That completes the number 044

Are you starting to get how they number them. they number them by the year (ie; 044, 052, 812) unlike Elliottlake Transit. Say if they buy a 1991 Orion 1 (ie; Ex-Woodstock Transit 23) in 2009 it would be numbered 091

And the have 3 Classics. And 811 was a supervisor truck.
