Piano God
Do they at least have the right signs programmed into that one for you guys?? To be honest, I did not take much of a look at the destination signs on 8006, but I will report back next time I see it in service... However, I noticed that 8002 is sporting Balios destination signs...
dzldriver
I amazes me that they dont' think of this stuff before they send equipment to another property.
masseyfarm
This is how coach transportation should be. Anybody know the driver or the Princess? Time frame is 1957 to 1964. masseyfarm
This Nanaimo Terminal picture is at least 1956 as you can see the new Chrysler products in the lineup. Did some research with the help of some past long term VICL veterens and came up with this. "The driver in the picture in the previous post, which was taken in Beacon Hill Park, is Terry Osmars and was taken 1958-59." Dave
SidneyTransitfan
While I was on my way to Campbell River, I spotted 9846 heading into Woodgrove Mall. It was looking very smart with the 'Nanaimo Regional Transit System' decals in the original font.

BCT-3122-D800-10240
And a 25 bus order to boot.... Agreed! But I wonder how many diesel units are being delivered? Now we know of at least 10 are on the way to possibly Victoria..
Les Broughton
I am wondering what is being replaced. Are these orders replacements for the 1994/95 NFIs, or are there Darts that will be retired early. Assuming the 1991/92 contigency fleet is retired in favor of 1994/95s. SidneyTransitfan
9816 is now running in Nanaimo. Hmmm... that must have been really recent. I did notice 8115, 8116 and 8117 are in service up there as well though when filming my youtube volume for Nanaimo.

Piano God
any of the 1991/92s still active up there?? and if not, are they still on the property? I've seen 8002 running during peak times since school resumed, but I have not seen 8006, nor 8012 as of yet. I'll take a swing by the depot next time I'm in the vicinity... Blue Bus Fan
Has they been any recent talk in the Namaimo Regional Transit about getting / leasing double decker buses? If so, what routes will the buses operate on?
323 Surrey Ctrl Stn
The 2013 New Flyer XN40's started arriving from New Flyer. I've attached a link with various photos I've taken of them during the past two weeks. http://www.flickr.com/photos/chsscassidy/sets/72157639298920093/with/11701890995/ Numbers start at 1020, which is were the H40LFR's ended. The buses are all white, but have a bright green rear. This leads me to believe that BC Transit will either have a revised scheme for these, or might do some vinyl wrap advertising the "green CNGs"
Ninja Bus Fan
Darn thought they might of been some demos for translink but oh well. Btw what's the engine and transmission on these guys ?
323 Surrey Ctrl Stn
Although I'm not sure, I'd guess Cummins ISL G and ZF (the latest BC Transit Nova order was ZF).
Ninja Bus Fan
Oh alright thanks and is the ISL G the only CNG engine in the market at the moment ?
Express691
According to the wiki, thats the only one at the moment. I was about to mentione Allison transmission, but I just remembered that they stopped using allison.
Ninja Bus Fan
Oh alright thanks and I think Allison is better than ZF. Just ride 3348 and you'll understand as that bus is just a tank and sounds good at the same time.
