Cimon8000
I have some news from Welland Transit. 1. Welland has obtained 3 new Chevrolet/Goshen cutaways for the newly rebadged Welltrans. These are numbered 210-212. 2. The new Xcelsior has arrived. It is numbered 1152. Much like situation regarding Guelph's recently obtained NovaBus LFS from HSR, the ex St Catharines Orion V that shares the same number as the new Xcelsior will be renumbered 1153. Here are the photos I took. Hope you all enjoy this. I'd like to thank the friendly staff at Welland Transit for letting me take photos of this new unit. Thanks for the great photos and update, interesting to see they number this unit #1152 and renumbered that ex-St Catharines Orion V to #1153............lucky enough I got that St Catharines Orion V in #1152!!!! 97SCT
The 4 Fitch Street is no more pretty much, it's now a TransCab service. http://www.wellandtribune.ca/2012/06/13/taxis-to-replace-fitch-st-bus-service
Chris W
The 4 Fitch Street is no more pretty much, it's now a TransCab service. http://www.wellandtr...-st-bus-service This, I find odd. Mind you, when I rode the 4 Fitch, it ran an ARBOC and I was the only rider on the round trip. BTW, I can't help notice that you posted a June article with changes that happened after the fact. I can't believe counsel completely ignored the 800 people that petitioned to keep it, along with the Facebook group.

I can't believe counsel completely ignored the 800 people that petitioned to keep it, along with the Facebook group.I didn't think they actually replaced the buses with taxis which is a bad idea and I don't even live there, as one of the last times i was in Welland, there was a guy with a petition to keep the Fitch bus. I know it was really late timing in posting a link to the article but had to be known. So far the Blue Bird units 1140 and 1141 have not been repainted like the other 4 units last I was there. Chris W
I would guess 1140 and 1141 will be the two getting retired this year. I'm still unsure what, if anything, they're replacing the Blue Birds with.

niatrans10
according to the 2012 Welland Capital Budget, one replacement bus has been budgeted for in 2012, so I'm guessing either another Eldorado or an XD35
