CTtransit (Connecticut Transit) update on fleet

New active equipment:
-2024 New Flyer Industries XE35 NG units 2401-2410. Waterbury Division operated by Northeast Transportation. 2401 and 2404 were sent to Watertown garage and are active. 2402-2403, and 2405-2410 are currently at Hartford garage. These series of buses features a Siemens ELFA3 and a direct drive transmission.

-2024 New Flyer Industries XE40 NG units 2411-2444. Split between Hartford, New Haven, and Stamford operated by HNS Management. 2411-2423 are New Haven units, 2424-2431 are Hartford units, and 2432-2444 are Stamford units. All units are active. These series of buses features a Siemens ELFA3 and a direct drive transmission.

-2025 New Flyer Industries XDE40 unit 2501. First of 66 new XDE40's coming to CTtransit that are going to be split between Dattco New Britain, Hartford Division, New Britain Transportation, New Haven Division, and Waterbury Division. 2501 was delivered to New Britain Transportation on April 15th, 2024. This bus features a 6.7 Liter Cummins B6.7 280hp EPA 2024 and Allison Systems eGen Flex H 40.

-2007 New Flyer Industries D40LF 724, 746, 749. Sent from Hartford division to New Haven division. 

-2007 New Flyer Industries D40LF 726 and 747. Sent from Stamford division to Hartford division. Hartford got their buses back. 726 is out of service and 747 is active serving Hartford area bus routes.

-2007 New Flyer Industries D40LF 729 and 733. Sent from New Haven division to New Britain Transportation.

-2008 New Flyer Industries D40LF 801. Sent from New Haven division to Hartford division. Hartford got their bus back. 801 is active again serving Hartford area bus routes.

-2008 New Flyer Industries D40LF 802. Came back from being a stored bus at Hartford division and sent to Stamford division

-2010 Motor Coach Industries D4500CT 1013-1015. Came back from being in storage or at Collins Bus Service and sent to Hartford division. A1013 now got renumbered back to 1013.

-2014 New Flyer Industries XDE40 1483. Sent from Hartford division to Stamford division. Stamford got their bus back.

-2014 New Flyer Industries XDE40 1484. Sent from Hartford division to Windham Region Transit District

CTtransit made an order of 99 buses from a contract order. They are receiving 66 XDE40's, 12 XDE35's, 12 XD60's and 9 additional XDE40's for other transit agencies in Connecticut.
