wigo35 Posted July 24, 2024 Report Posted July 24, 2024 Hi everyone, Quick question: Is a passport always sufficient for identification during transit checks in all countries, particularly in Eastern Europe? Are there any specific countries where additional documentation or certified translations might be required? Thanks for your insights! P.S. I came across this agency: https://jurilingua.ca/translation-legal-documents/ – any opinions on their services?
D40LF Posted July 24, 2024 Report Posted July 24, 2024 If the countries are in the Schengen area then you do not need to show your passport when entering one of the countries, as long as you are entering from another Schengen area country.
Labycryz Posted September 11, 2024 Report Posted September 11, 2024 In some Eastern European countries, particularly outside of the Schengen zone, you might need more than just your passport, depending on the country's policies and your nationality. In some cases, additional documentation or certified translations may be required. It's always a good idea to check ahead of time with official sources or services like idanalyzer.com for reliable identity verification and document validation to avoid any issues during transit checks.
