Tcaauwe2002
For Bay Metro, under retired. the 110-119 bluebirds are 1984 models the Thomas buses are 1987 and were numbers 137-141 the GMC TDH-5303s were 1001-1023 however there were 35 total with the other numbers unknown. these buses were leased for a time from their owners, including Ddot in detroit and returned to the lessor when BMTAs new buses showed up. This Info comes from Bay Metros Planning Department. For saginaw transit, the following buses can be shoed as retired 326 -scrapped May 23 20101 can be shown as active as it just underwent a rebuild. 20102 is stored i'm assume for a rebuild now as well I'll have MANY other 300 series retirements coming soon as I have notes on my phone, which I dont have near me at the moment. 401 also appears to have been retired and either sold or scrapped as I haven't seen in on the property in well over a month. Sending an email to stars to confirm. thank you to who ever does the update -- Patrick Caauwe

Updated! Due to the large amount of "stored" buses you have noted, I added an new "Stored" section to the roster. I suspect that some of those "stored" buses may end up returning to service at some point (like 318), which is why I have them differentiated.
Tcaauwe2002
spotted 351 today in the barn, so we can for sure go up to that with the new gilligs. also you can move 308 and likely 315 to the stored list. i'll confirm tomorrow if I get time. they're in the "cage" along johnson . Tcaauwe2002
just spoke to the director of stars, new buses total 9 and go from 344 to 352. the Orions 7s, and early remaining 300 series buses they got from midwest bus will be retired first along with a couple former COTA buses. he couldn't confirm which buses will be retired just yet as they're still working on that. also... 402, that can be fully retired and it is awaiting a trip to the scrap yard. 401 was already scrapped. Tcaauwe2002
Another New Update. several buses have been sent to scrap. 402,325,312, 321 and 310 are gone, fully retired to the best of my knowledge. 308 is sitting in the former Clinksons scrap yard in Saginaw thats now owned by Padnos scrap. Also, we can show 331 and 328 and 329 as stored. Im thinking im going to have a bunch of retirements coming because i believe most if not all the ex Smart buses from Midwest are gone now and I think only 4 or 5 of the ex COTA buses are active along with the 318 who is holding tight for whatever reason. must be a great runner. ALSO, I've made a huge mistake in the D4500's 402 has been the bus that was active and have recently been stored and now scrapped. 403 the 1st was the parts bus and was never in service and 403, the D4500CT, I have no idea why its on the roster from Flint MTA because its never operated out of Saginaw or been in the facility ever. 402 was the only active bus and i'd had the number incorrect. Can you please correct this for me. I've also reached out to stars and hopefully next week i'll have a list of 300 series that are still on the property as I think we're missing quite a few retirements. (busses that were hauled directly out of the barn and straight to scrap.)
Tcaauwe2002
Update for 2/21/24 All the 300's that came from Midwest bus are retired except for the 313,which is stored. this is per stars mechanical supervisor

BMTA took delivery of 10 30 foot gilligs 2024 models and they appear to be 240-249, but i'm nailing that down as well. they're identical in appearance to the last batch excpet the website decal is larger on the side of the rear. Tcaauwe2002
well, i'm working on narrowing things down. the buses above can be removed. and the new group of buses goes to 250 now, not 249. attached is a pic I took of 250 and would love to add to the roster page. Also, if there's a page within a page for dispositions of the retired buses, you can show 224 sold to Bay City All Saints Highschool. I photographed it there sitting next to their other bus today. looking at the stars page. you can show 313 retired instead of stored. also, clicking on the picture, there's a note saying 310 is from COTA. its not. its a former smart bus rebuilt by midwest bus in owosso. Tcaauwe2002
I wasn't aware of the photo requirements, I'll happily get a better shot of the buses. thank you for the updates. I've located one other retired gillig, just attempting to narrow it down. ALSO BMTA 158 has made it to a second life in Atlanta GA. I'd love to note that its there and I have a picture of it as well if anyone interested. 171 also made it to Philly for a second life, though I'm not sure what that life is.
