littlewill1166 Posted March 28, 2023 Report Posted March 28, 2023 The fares for London Transit are outdated. The "UWO Undergraduate Tuition pass" is valid for 12 months not 8.
KawarthaTransiteer Posted March 6 Report Posted March 6 I'll put this here as it's most appropriate in this thread, in the Wiki subforum. I'm working on the articles on different routes on the wiki and I have the service frequencies in a collapsible table under the "Service Summary" section. As in the route 8 and route 400 articles, I currently have the top part of the table as blue. However I was just playing around with it, and thought it might be better with the section being green as the blue hides the "Expand/Collapse" feature for me. Also, the green would supplement the blue in the little route template and the main LTC templates I have on the route pages. Thoughts? So here is the service frequency table, current how it is on the articles for routes 8 and 400: And here's the table using green: And this is compared to the small route template, and the larger main LTC template I have on the articles: Pinging @LTCBusRider15, @10LugNuts, @klorbfj, @yrt1000, @SuperTrooper as I know that you all are more familiar with the LTC than me, so I'd like to know your thoughts on this for the wiki (obviously others are welcome to add their thoughts). Also I'd like to know your thoughts (and any constructive criticism if possible) on the two route articles I already have up on the wiki. I want these articles to be useful and understandable for Londoners who want to learn about the LTC's routes. And for your consideration, below I have a sneak preview on the route 11 article I've been working on, which has more in the history section than the 8 and 400. Thanks! Quote Route details Route 11 provided service between Downtown London and Westmount Mall, serving the Southcrest neighbourhood. From Queens Avenue and Richmond Street, westbound buses operated west on Queens Avenue, south on Ridout Street, west on York Street, south on Wortley Road, west on Horton Street, south on Wharncliffe Road, west on Langarth Street, south on MacKay Avenue, west on Emery Street, west on Southcrest Drive, south on Gardenwood Drive, southeast and southwest on Berkshire Drive, south on Topping Lane, west on Commissioners Road, south on Wonderland Road, and west on Viscount Road to Westmount Mall. From Westmount Mall, eastbound buses operated north on Wonderland Road, east on Commissioners Road, north on Topping Lane, northeast and northwest on Berkshire Drive, north on Gardenwood Drive, east on Southcrest Drive, east on Emery Street, north on Wharncliffe Road, east on Stanley Street, east on York Street, north on Ridout Street, and east on King Street to Richmond Street. Trips interlined with route 7 in Downtown London. Branches This route had one branch: 11 Downtown - Westmount Mall History Route previously known as route 11 Southcrest. August 25, 2003 - Route designated as accessible. November 8, 2009 - Service along Village Green Avenue removed; operating along Commissioners Road instead. September 4, 2016 - Use of route names discontinued; now referred to as route 11. April 29, 2018 - Routing along Dundas Street in Downtown London removed due to construction for the Dundas Place project. Instead, buses operate along Queens Avenue in the westbound direction, and along King Street in the eastbound direction. September 2, 2018 - Routing along Base Line Road and Beachwood Avenue removed; operating along Berkshire Drive and Topping Lane instead. Additionally, routing cut back to Westmount Mall; service west of Wonderland Road along Commissioners Road, Cranbrook Road, and Viscount Road now provided by route 15B. September 1, 2019 - Route discontinued. Service merged into route 7. 2
yrt1000 Posted March 6 Report Posted March 6 I like the green! Appreciate the efforts of creating route pages and histories. Happy to contribute and answer any questions I might have knowledge of

Happy to contribute and answer any questions I might have knowledge of Thanks, I appreciate your feedback. With how big London is, the wiki has certainly been lacking in content on the LTC so I'm happy to contribute. I'm considering adding which vehicles are used on each route. I don't think it is a priority at the moment as the LTC fleet will consist solely of XD40 and XD60 buses soon. Regardless, do you recall which vehicles were put on some of the now-discontinued routes? For the routes that were discontinued in September 2019, I can go through Transsee (even though the tracking history is not completely set up properly). So I'm more looking at routes like the 8, 18, 22, and the 23; but if you have records of other discontinued routes I'd appreciate if you can share them.

The times I was there which was 2014-2019, they had a good variety of buses. Not sure what would have operated prior to that, but commonly on the 8 Riverside was El Dorados mostly- every time I would ride it, it was an el dorado. Definitely a chance of “regular” buses on it. 18 Western Rd. would see lots of XD40 and XD60s because the morning/midday buses came from Wonderland garage which, at the time, had all the new buses, but there was one PM run would come from Highbury garage and therefore could be anything, though I don’t recall any D40i’s ever being out there. Could be wrong on that 22 I don’t remember that route off the top of my head. Do you have a map of that route or remember what it was called? Memory is failing me lol 23 Berkshire was commonly where you’d find the D40i’s, but also any 40 footer was common on there. 1

I'll make sure to have this info on hand when I decide to include the vehicles used in the articles. I actually didn't really need to ask about the 22 Trafalgar lol since it was interlined with the 23 Berkshire. Therefore it would've also been D40is and other 40 footers on the route. Also I forgot to include it above, but do you also know which vehicles would've been on the 400 Fanshawe Getaway?

LTCBusRider15 Posted Wednesday at 02:29 AM Report Posted Wednesday at 02:29 AM For the route 32 page on the wiki I think the Wonderland Garage buses started to be used ether 2016 or 2017.

If I'm going to be honest, I can't really find any concrete evidence that points to Wonderland starting to operate the 32 in 2016 or 2017. Mainly, the schedules from 2016 and 2017 don't show trips on the 19, 31 or 32 deadheading to the Wonderland Garage. However going through Transsee, I was able to find some trips that were based out of Wonderland when the September 2018 schedule was in effect. So I'm going to keep it as September 2018 for now.
