Rider Express in Alberta

Rider Express has just announced they will soon be starting an Edmonton-Fort McMurray Schedule.  Im guessing they will have an Evening departure from Edmonton with an AM departure from Fort McMurray to connect to the rest of their services.

Yep Rider Express will start Fort McMurray in Feb for now operating Fri/Sun Lv at 5pm from Their DT Edmonton office and ar Ft Mac at Quality Inn Hotel at 955 lv Mon/Sat at 7Am arr Edmonton at 12pm.

Rider Express has discontinued using Kingsway Transit Centre as a stop  and will now only use their office location in downtown Edmonton. Also Rider will introduce a Calgary-Lethbridge-Medicine Hat-Regina Schedule in March once a week for now. And they are also introducing a Edmonton(Lv 315pm)-Saskatoon only Arr 915pm Schedule effective in March (Looks like their going head on with KCTI) plus their regular Edmonton-Saskatoon-Regina schedule.

Seems like Rider Express has ended its Regina-Calgary route.  Moose Jaw, Swift Current, and Medicine Hat will lose all service.

Yes they seem to have had several issues with that route. They ran it this time the 3rd try from Mar til Oct at least this time they operated a day run the 2x before they tried doing a night run out of Calgary and Regina. I did hear service may return in spring. Running a full size coach on that run is not feasible,not enough passengers. Might be more feasible running just Regina to Swift Current or use a smaller bus on that route.
