haydenschool
I'm currently trying to upload photos for a client to the wiki, but now I am unable to due to the size limit. I ask this because I have previously uploaded images from this same client that went past the 2MB limit without any problem.
Captain Slow
Yes, I use paint.net to save images with a lower quality to reduce the file size
Board Admin A. Wong Posted October 8, 2022 Board Admin Report Share Posted October 8, 2022 These files are very large and are eating up the server disk space quickly. 2MB is more than enough for current day standards - lower file sizes are appreciated.
captaintrolley
I always resize my photos, even if they are not big by today's standards, smaller is better. A friend helped me download Irfanview AGES ago. I still use it because it is easy to understand and simple to use. He showed me how to resize everything to 800X600 which he says is an ideal size for posting on this board. Been doing it that way ever since. (I used to be that one person with a dinosaur computer where large files took 20 minutes to appear on my screen). So I imagine somewhere out there someone else might be struggling with large files LOL...
