See page 4 of the report. Interesting that they chose New Flyer over Novas for most of the hybrid order. I wonder if that means they solved their qualm about not being supplied a master parts list.
Young Posted April 7, 2022 Report Posted April 7, 2022 These XDE40s should look identical to the XE40s if I’m not mistaken
Orion V Posted April 7, 2022 Report Posted April 7, 2022 Just a wild guess is that they might have framed windows but will retain the BRT roofline. Look at the 3400s for example. The 60 electric buses all have frameless windows. 2

Based on looks only since HSR's are CNGs. https://cptdb.ca/wiki/index.php/Hamilton_Street_Railway_1820-1830 1
TransitFan88 Posted April 8, 2022 Report Posted April 8, 2022 I wonder what divisions will be getting the Flyers.

Cherry_1560 Posted April 8, 2022 Report Posted April 8, 2022 I wonder if TTC will still use unpainted aluminum wheels on new hybrid-electric buses or use red wheels again 2 hours ago, Orion V said: Just a wild guess is that they might have framed windows but will retain the BRT roofline. TTC has used frameless windows on 60 electric buses, so probably it will be a basic configuration on the future buses ?

I presume that they will get with the current standard of a roof mounted HVAC to the rear mounted style of the XE40
curlingteam333 Posted April 8, 2022 Report Posted April 8, 2022 I wonder what the seat layout would be looks like for TTC XDE60 and New Flyer articulated buses looks brand new to TTC.

Young Posted April 9, 2022 Report Posted April 9, 2022 Weird question but does delivery by 2023 mean between now and the end of 2023 or q4 of 2023 1

Hopefully it’s the 4one Aries seating MiWay and some other agencies have, those are pretty comfy imo

It might be the way HSR maintains them. I haven't ridden Mississauga's version so I can't comment.

The TTC Orions VII's were/are rattle machines, but the Nova LFS have held up remarkably well when it comes to that. But it may have to do with the suspension, its much more comfortable on the Nova LFS. I haven't ridden anything else to compare.
tommike Posted April 29, 2022 Report Posted April 29, 2022 do any one know if xde60 will be rear drive?

PrimeTio Posted April 29, 2022 Report Posted April 29, 2022 Did TTC release a report where we can see the specs on the buses? I know MiWay and some other American agencies have done it, also is their a possibility the XDE60s will have rear windows?
