The overhead intersection at Dunbar St/41 ave is being rebuilt.

It would be nice if they ordered more than a mere 1-1 replacement for the next trolley order, considering how limited the trolley fleet was prior to the pandemic. Are there even enough trolleys for the 41 to remain as a trolley route when the Broadway extension is complete and the 9 reverts back to trolleys, considering the 41 only became a trolley when the 9 converted to diesels?

can also make the argument that the 9 may or may not experience a major restructuring/reductions due to the presence of SkyTrain.

I could be wrong, but I think there’s gonna be more people using the 9 for the one-seat ride beyond Arbutus. However, the “To Granville” trips could probably be discontinued, so perhaps additional 40-foot trolleys might not be necessary, unless they wanted to increase less-frequent routes like the 4 or 7.
