To date, 1044, 1075, 1105, 1114 & 1125 haven’t received plates. I’ll assume that these are the 5 to have retired recently

Your assumption is correct, they are all officially retired. 1075 was towed away today. Nothing has been mentioned yet on what if anything will replace them for the short term.

So now that leaves them with 136 2006 hybrids, they’re slowly starting the retirement of these buses

Wait until Line 5 opens up.  There could be a mass retirement on the hybrid buses.  Same thing happen to the 74xx-78xx Orions when subway to Vaughan was opened up.

There was no mass retirement of 7400-7881 when the Vaughan extension opened up. Most of Eglinton's batch had already been pulled by the time of the extension, and Birchmount's share of the fleet was pulled at a pretty slow pace, retirements took another year to finish. The lion's share of the Birchmount buses remained active until after Eglinton's were finished at the end of January 2018.

My mistake, I was referring to "fast retirement".

The 7400s were quickly pulled because there were enough new Novas in the pipeline. According to our wiki, the largest retirements occurred in November and December 2017: 54 Orions were retired in November (pre-extension, so they were not rendered surplus by the extension) and 45 Novas entered service. The following month, 51 Orions were pulled and 42 Novas entered service - and this was throughout the month, it's not as though all 51 were 86'ed in one fell swoop. The extension had little effect on this; they had enough Novas coming to replace large number of Orions in one go.

There are currently more TTC buses in the fleet than there were before the SSE opened. In the service summary for May 17 - June 17, 2017 (the most recent one from before the extension that is archived), there were 2126 buses in the fleet. Today, there are 2348.

The idea that there may be larger retirements of the hybrids when the 5 opens is more credible, as it is replacing a bus line on a major corridor, while the Spadina extension replaced bus lines that were, in all honesty, pretty badly served in the first place.

These were already confirmed retired but 1027 and 1271 are at Hillcrest, specifically outside the Davenport garage where 8573 and 9003 are still there. They're both missing various parts now. Guess these 2 will become the new 1348 and 1376 for parts (which are, still there).

On a side note, for 8016, this one is missing a windshield. I guess it's getting a replacement? Dunno. I'll try to get a pic if I can

I think that one is 1077. If it doesn’t have an upper rear panel, 1052 is sporting it’s salvaged part

1115 parked beside 8573 near davenport building at Hillcrest (this could be retired, i'll check tomorrow and see if they remove anything)

8184 - front headlight smashed (left side), same side also smashed slightly. Parked where 1376 used to be (infront of 1348, 2345, 2444)

8016 - has been moved and idk where it is now.

1271 - missing lots of parts like usual20220518_231038.thumb.jpg.ff19637be2a860047ef216655be57777.jpg (the og hev is 1115)

1027 - REMOVED FROM PROPERTY, SCRAP (1115 has technically took its place)

It was 1027. I saw the fleet number, unless me being tired made me see it wrong lol

EDIT from yesterday: 1115 moved into Harvey

There are some minor errors with your list: 1342 is done, and 1277 is still active and is in the old livery. I'm going to add this to the list on the first post of this thread.
