Does anyone know what’s going on with 8025?

8025 has been idle since last Friday (7/19)

also 8072 has been idle since the 23rd.

Maybe those two are on the chopping block now?

8076 was also idle in the Queensway dead yard since the 23rd.

I think it's the end for 8025. It might go to North Queen, as that was the case for 8014, 8017, 8081, and 8094 which were all parked in the dead yard.

From what I can remember, 8072 is sitting where 8092 was. Which might mean it won't go to North Queen, if it doesn't return to service.

8166 retired. Nit sure if it's been reported. I believe more 8100s have retired as well.

8134 8158 8197 8205 8212 have been pulled from service. All are tracking in the Queensway dead yard.

8116 8135 8136 8147 8179 are tracking at Wilson. Not sure what's going on with these units, but they are likely retired.

8161 and 8195 are beside 8072. This probably doesn't mean anything.

I was literally about to mention this. I have a feeling these ones aren't at wilson however and are tracking inaccurately due to them having their trackers removed.

Wow... those 8100 are being scrapped faster than I thought.

The units that are at Wilson are probably getting work done on them so I wouldn't consider those ones retired.

On another note, 8034 8063 8072 8076 8079 8097 have been pulled from service. This leaves 7 active 80xx remaining.

What are the 7 80xx units that are still in service?

Wow I rode one of the remaining 6 in service today. Can’t believe that last day is so close now.

In that rate, I wouldn’t be surprised if all of them will be gone by the next weekend.

TransSee premium offers vehicle history. I recommend looking in on it instead of expecting someone else to do record keeping.

I have plans to compile the last days of operation for almost all of the Orion VIIs, but this is contingent on me having the free time to do it. It will take months.

Maybe today is the last.

Maybe tomorrow or the next few days the 8000s will be all retired from revenue service at this pace.

They really did spend their twilight months at the Queensway funeral home

They should preserve 8098 and 8099 instead of 8079 (retired) and 8091’s (retired) unknown replacement.

Since more 8300 are going to Queensway with Novas from MicNicol. Looks like the end of 8000 is near. Looks like TTC can get rid of 8000 by Monday.

The 33/32 could be going to Queensway for potential rebuild reasons. And sure some 8000 replacement. But the 8300 is definitely related to 8000 retirement.

Some 8100 are being retired. But not being notice because of the obvious 8000 being retired.

What TTC should have done is used MicNicol to rebuild all the 3300s, and only have rebuilt 32/33s at Queensway.

With an alleged huge service increase happening in Sept, I think TTC will keep some 8000 at North queen for the reminder of the summer. Even if they're not in service next board. Wait till Sept to really put the nail in the coffin.

Also, this could be a stretch, but it looks better if ttc has more hybrids on their books than diesel buses. So the 1000 lasting a bit longer because their hybrid despite new buses at the same divsion. I wouldn't put it past a political stunt. But that's me with my tin foil hat on.
