Suburban Mobility Authority for Regional Transportation - wiki changes

Recommended Posts

This looked a lot better in the editor. If the formatting continues to make it unreadable, I'm going to open the Google Doc that I was originally keeping.

  • Route 261:
    • The first 15 days of service (2018-01-01 to 2018-01-15), no fare is collected.
    • 2018-02-09 - All FAST routes run local service for the day due to snow emergency.
    • Service to Merriman / Flynn was added before 2018-06-01 - though the exact date is not known. The email about June service changes, sent on June 1st, says "There has been the addition of a new FAST stop just north of I-94 at Flynn which has already been installed for use and is currently serving all 261 trips."
    • Service to the Amazon facility in Romulus was added to the schedule on 2018-06-18 - but because the road hadn't been constructed yet, such service didn't actually start until 2018-07-24.
    • Service to Ecorse / Merriman added sometime before 2019-02-02.
    • Service to Amazon at Vining is present in both directions, not northbound only.
  • Routes 461/462:
    • The first 15 days of service (2018-01-01 to 2018-01-15), no fare is collected.
    • 2018-02-09 - All FAST routes run local service for the day due to snow emergency.
    • 2018-02-08 - SB Woodward / 13 Mile stop removed; Woodward / Coolidge stops in both directions added
    • The 461’s Civic Center Drive station already existed on 2019-03-05 (seen while mapping the 465 that day). Exact date of add is unknown.
  • Routes 561/562/563:
    • The first 15 days of service (2018-01-01 to 2018-01-15), no fare is collected.
    • [563 only] 2018-01-09: NB Gratiot / Vergote and SB Gratiot / Meijer Gas Station were added to the route
    • 2018-02-09 - All FAST routes run local service for the day due to snow emergency.
    • [563 only] Service to Meijer Park & Ride was added to schedules on 2018-04-02; however, due to construction, service to the lot didn't actually begin until 2018-08-06
    • [562] The bus does not stop at SB Woodward / Warren.
    • [561/562] North River Road is served only on weekdays and Thanksgiving.
  • Route 255:
    • 2019-06-17: Due to construction in the Dearborn Heights Target lot, the first westbound trip of the route is cut short to Dearborn Ice Skating Center.
  • Route 330:

  • Route 430:
    • During detour between 2016-12-06 and 2017-06-19, route 430 served Royal Oak Meijer.
    • School service: One northbound trip in the morning (third trip), one southbound trip in the afternoon (first trip)
  • Route 445:
    • 2016-06-06 - Woodward service in Downtown Detroit enters current "detour"; while new maps and schedules treat this routing as permanent, the detour remains as a service bulletin on the website (the oldest one still up, in fact).
    • While the map shown is the current official map, it is inaccurate as the bus stays on Woodward bypassing downtown Royal Oak.
  • Route 450:
    • 2016-06-06 - Woodward service in Downtown Detroit enters current "detour"; while new maps and schedules treat this routing as permanent, the detour remains as a service bulletin on the website (the oldest one still up, in fact).

    • 2016-06-06: Route 610 service in Downtown Detroit enters current "detour"; while new maps and schedules treat this routing as permanent, the detour remains as a service bulletin on the website (the oldest one still up, in fact).
  • Route 710:
    • 2017-09-05: Weekday peak trips serve Rutland and Northwestern to remain connected to route 851.
    • 2018-01-01: With the introduction of what were then route 851 “Northland Loop” trips (which later became route 849), 710’s Rutland/Northwestern routing was eliminated.
  • Route 730:
    • 2019-01-07: Eastbound trips are rerouted at Royal Oak Transit Center to serve Lafayette side
