got:

-a pair of rollsigns off a decommissioned TTC streetcar

-DVD copies of the Audrey Hepburn movies Roman Holiday, Charade, and Mayerling

-two (by accident) posters of Roman Holiday

-an order for a scale 3D printed model of the HMHS Britannic (it's not here... I have no idea when it will be here either LOL)

-a new sports t-shirt and a hoodie

-various extras that I wrote off as a holiday expense, such as a book from the HCRR giftshop on all the classes of steam locomotives that had ever come into British Rail's possession by 1963

Unfortunately, Santa (Amazon) didn’t bring all my gifts on time. So today I ended up with:

Clothes

Money

Gift cards for Indigo and EB games

The legend of Zelda Links Awakening

And finally the latest in the complete peanuts collection 1971-1974. Was a bit surprised they only made one two book package this year, but I can’t complain that I got this one.

Nice! Where'd you get the rollsigns?

Now, what did Santa bring you?

I am getting to that, I had to wait until after visiting with my son and family to see what awaited me there.

I got THREE Starbucks gift cards, a Safeway gift card, some photos of my son with his family, socks, chocolates, baking, calendars, variety pack of hot sauces, potato salad, and assorted snacks. The best present was getting to spend time with my family and hugs & kisses from the grandchildren.

I’m going to lump in a couple of gifts that came during the weeks leading up to Christmas.   One of my friends gave me a CLRV roll sign.

A bunch of large format 4X5, darkroom equipment and some medium format and 35mm camera equipment came from a long time friend’s friend who hadn’t used any of it in ages and was downsizing.

The Instant Pot was a gift from my sister and her husband, and the cordless drill was something I bought for myself.  Using a cordless drill at a friend’s place for driving a large number of screws while we were building a shed made me finally break down and buy one as a gift for myself.

These were available locally at reasonable prices so I bought them as gifts for myself.  I already have one of those function generators so this is a parts unit or use whichever has the cleanest output or lash them up and do sweeps if I want.  The spectrum analyzer on the bottom is a very interesting piece of specialist kit though.  5 Hz to 50 kHz and has a tracking generator built in.  This is purely an audio frequency spectrum analyzer.  Not a dynamic signal analyzer that can handle sub 1 Hz low speed phenomena but also not able to handle radio frequencies either.  I don’t need it but it was available nearby and affordable and I’ve always wanted one so I pulled the trigger.

I also got a sweater and some books and some lovely handmad cross stitched framed tapestries.

A High Fever. Still am recovering from that. Aside being bedridden on Christmas, I did actually get a couple things this year.

- A Nice Dress Shirt

- A couple gift cards

- To celebrate that I got a new job. I picked up this WestJet 737 Max in 1/100 Scale.

Photo is a scale comparison of the 1/100, 1/200 and 1/400 scales of the Max.
