Me thinks that the 25 units that will be retired are the 25 North Queen hybrids with the TRUMP system.

It's probably a mixture of both TRUMP and VISION units.

I'm assuming that when any of Malvern's VISION NG HEVs get retired, their VISION units will be installed on a TRUMP 79xx at Queensway.

That's assuming if they decide to put any of the units with trump back into service with the Nova hybrids going into service. A good chunk of them are sitting at North Queen, and haven't moved in a while.

Why were some of the lower 7900s retired? (Not ES-0 to ES-5) I know 7936 suffered an engine fire.

7929 and 7936 were retired due to engine problems. I am not sure why 7907, 7911 and 7939 were specifically retired and sold to Sault Ste Marie, but it must have been for reason.

Probably the best in condition when someone from SSM came down to inspect. They are only a stop gap to help with the fleet shortage over there.

I have some news on 7575, but Its both good and bad.

Good news: I found it. Its currently parked on the Christie side. It looked to have been parked there recently.

Bad news: its stripped. Its missing its back rack, front decals and rear destonation sign. I am not sure if they remove these parts before they rebuild it or not. I wasn't able to get a good photo of it, so tomorrow I will go by again and get a photo.

Could be prepping for paint- maybe.

Let’s assume the positive that it could be needing some work done.

It appeared to not have any panels taken off, and I couldn’t see very well inside, but it didn’t appear to be missing anything inside. It still had the black skirtings on the side

I am hoping that these parts were removed so that they can start rebuilding it, and then repainting later on.

There’s also 7423 but that’s not on TTC property atm. Funnily enough, it’s right next to it.

idk if that’s going to be used in some way, it’s been sitting in the same spot for many months now.

I think they gave up on it.

Or sidelining her for now. Rn, 7575 enjoying a neighbourhood BBQ. I can smell it off of Christie.

7575 could be using 7808’s parts and then getting repainted

I could be (and I probably am wrong) about 7575 being stripped. The decals and bike rack could have been removed in preparation work to be done on it. The rear destination sign was probably removed for the same reasons and it may need to be replaced. I think they will do a mini rebuild and a repaint.

7808 definitely donated parts. I have also heard rumors that 7936 donated some body panels as well.

It could have been using 7784's parts as well. That one was at Hillcrest not too long ago

When I went to Hillcrest, sometime in May, 7784 was parked at the front of the deadline. It appeared to be missing the engine. I am sure they removed more parts later on for 7575. I wouldn’t be surprised if 7929 also donated panels as well.

What is special about 7575 anyways? Everyone is all hyped up about an Orion VII..

Usually when a vehicle is rumoured to be facing preservation, that draws interest.
