I think @Bus_Medic meant that the buses will be retired soon. 1752 and a good chunk of the training buses are still active, but they will eventually be retired.
Bus_Medic
Those fit for service will keep going until their respective MTO stickers expire..... or management decides the create a make work project of decommissioning them. With all the new 3400s and the warranty coverage that comes with new purchases, shop workload is pretty light at the moment.

Can we expect the TTS to amass an Orion 7 headlight collection that will rival the CLRV headlight collection?

Life happens, all I can hope for is a miracle so I still have a slither of hope. She served Toronto well. I think we can all agree (well, most of us) that we enjoyed riding 7575.

It’s pretty arbitrary, but there are some internal hardware and software differences in the 12-16xx “G7” PCS equipped units ( the lead acid conversions) vs. The 17-18xx “G9”( the lithium ion from day 1), with the earlier units being somewhat more reliable, at least comparing their respective PCS failure rates. This was also largely the rationale for overhauling the 12/13/14s and skipping the later builds.

Excuse me woman, I don’t wear tin foil hats. I wear spaghetti colanders! They seem to be making the new buses replaceable rather than repairable. Bus_Medic
That’s the trend in the entire automotive industry. This link shows specifically what happens to them when the do fail, and it’s not throwing them away. https://www.ttc.ca/About_the_TTC/Commission_reports_and_information/Commission_meetings/2016/July_11/Reports/21_PA_-_Supply_of_BAE_Propulsion_Parts_for_the_Hybrid_Bus_Fl.pdf
TTC4120fan
7575 has been moved beside Davenport garage, parked behind 4004. Still stripped and now leaning on its right side. 2

Doggosareamazing
I don't see the Novabuses and 7808 anymore so they are most likely in pieces. The two Orion VII NG Hybrids I saw were 1585 (right) and 1567 (Left) and an Orion V 70xx/94xx on top of the scrap pile next to a white Orion V unmarked. Oh, I also threw in a coach from Greyhound but that is what I saw the day before yesterday. (Photos taken were all on a road OPEN to the public. I did NOT trespass into the property)

Tom1122
If 7575 is indeed not bound for preservation, perhaps TTC should convert it into an event support bus to replace one of the buses lost to overexcited Raptors fans.
