jor
I saw munro's plan and it looks like they will keep about 55 of the 8000s until 2021

State of good repair is similar to an MTO except the scope also entails clearing off all the little squeak and rattle stuff before it piles up. Or at least that’s the intent.
MonkeyWrencher
SOGR - State Of Good Repair, a decent length inspection checklist and repair, meant to ensure a bus is in the best shape possible for continued service

But then again, I ain't no bus doctor.
jor
Most of the 1500s and 1600s and all of the 1700s and 1800s are getting retired before the 7900s, so let's wait and see what happens to the 8000s.

Yes it seems they took out the worst of the Hybrids first. The 1000 series were proven more reliable than anything it seems. To be honest they may start scraping away at both the 7900s and the 8000s all together.

I passed by Malvern it looks like 1572 is retired its been pulled out of service the same time units 114 1519 1520 were pulled out of service for decommissioning. did you mean 1593? 1592 has since been sent to the scrap yard when I reported it. also add 1580 as a unit to look out for as well.

That was a typo. #1593 might be getting vision installed. 1

Ther repairs are small and relatively inexpensive. It’s not like they’re overhauling the thing. The man hours of labour are already budgeted to SOGR, the vehicles selected are generally pretty random. 1
dayone
Is there a visible sign on the bus (a sticker?) to indicate it went through a SOGR?

7575
7415 is sitting at a garage (not TTC property) and 7692 is being repaired after suffering an unplanned thermal event. I own these buses.
FabianColeyLOVESBUSES
1538 and 1572 are now inside Malvern division . i guess they might start decommissioning them. 1514 1519 are at hillcrest to be decommissioned down there as Malvern division doesn't have too much space right now to be decommissioning buses because of vision installs going on right now.
