The new line 2 fleet plan on Steve Munro's site shows that 1 T1 pair will be converted to work cars this year and 1 pair will be converted to work cars next year. There a overhaul on trucks right now too, I know 5126-27 28 29 are done few days old. There always some kind of project going on with the t1. Two G-1 work cars were painted silver to look like the aluminum G-2 work cars, RT36-37, originally 5068-69. End caps were repainted grey at some point on everything from the refurbed H-4s up. M-1s and H-1s had ends painted silver in overhauls and H-5s that came with black ends were repainted silver within a year of delivery. I think only the H-2s never got the end caps repainted. Aluminum G-2 work cars RT14-15 had the non-cab ends facing the tunnel washer car painted black in the mid-1990s.
