In-service dates up to this point (4/25/19 at 08:40am) have now been updated on the wiki page.  I’ve also added a few more plate numbers.

8393 finally entered service as a 159/301 yesterday. Thanks @Chinese Daniel

Edit: So I don't have to keep retyping it, 8376 entered service April 22.

3 out of 7 MP's are using the new CNG Nova's this morning (8360, 8363, 8386). You can spot that giant purple square from quite the distance!

#'s 8205-8354, 1625-1634, and 6074-6093 were all delivered fully painted.  Not wrapped.  However, they have gone back to having them delivered plain white and then wrapping them in the livery with this newest batch of CNG LFS buses.

I don't know all the numbering schemes but 1625-1634 do not sound like 40' or 60' numbers, 6074 would be 60' I guess but if there painted and not decalled it would be just another poor decision. I would have to see to believe that 8205 and up are not decals, but I don't care enough to look

Let's be honest here every single bus Calgary Transit has received has been painted at least white!😋🤤😝

No they weren't painted white. The panel which is not metal comes white

Yes you're right.  The buses came in bare metal and everything else that's not metal comes in white.

I'm very sorry for the miscommunication.

Let's move on.

A very good day for CNG bus spotting, if that's your thing.

Transit55 says there are 26 Nova and both New Flyer CNG buses in service at the moment.

4/5 MAX Orange buses in service now are of the CNG variety (3 of them are from the 2018-19 order).

Brentwood is a decent place for spotting today. I was there earlier and noticed three buses around me were the new Novas. Transit55 confirmed my observations: apart from MAX Orange, there are current three operating on Route 8, two on Route 408 and one on Route 9.

I rode one on the 138 during the PM rush last week.

When it's in motion they don't seem all that much quieter than an XD40, but when I boarded it at Crowfoot I honestly thought it wasn't running at all until I was halfway to the back.

Other than that, it felt like a bus. Nicer ride than some older models for sure. Big fan of the non-cloth seats so I can see exactly what it is I'm about to sit down on, and knowing it's emitting something like 75% less than an XD40 is great in my book!

8204 currently on MAX Orange, rewrapped/painted to match the 8300s. Handsome!

Edit: oo just looked through the wiki and realized they've been rewrapped/painted since late last year!
