vicinity Report post Posted March 19 7 hours ago, Nick B said: Took a ride on #8357 along the full length of the 77. Nice bus. Slow acceleration. Feels, sounds, and smells virtually identical to #8203/4. The bus was sweltering hot inside because of issues with the HVAC (from what the operator told me), and today’s warm weather combined with the lack of opening windows doesn’t help that case. The operator had the roof hatches open, and I could be mistaken on this but the label on the hatches reads “motorized roof vent” suggesting that no muscle power is required to operate it. If someone could confirm this that would be awesome. More content will be posted when I get home. The rear air vent is electric and the operator has control over it 1

R. Meu Report post Posted March 21 43 minutes ago, School Bus 101 said: Switched off with 7693 just under six hours into its 10 hour assignment block. It became a sick bus. A passenger unexpectedly got off at 104 Avenue and Metis Trail (Facing WB) without ringing the stop bell and by the time the bus got to Saddletowne the bus wreaked with a terrible smell and that’s when passengers discovered the reason behind the smell as they got on. It ran for another trip till it got to the same spot mentioned earlier (now facing EB instead) which is where I and the driver waited for the changeoff bus (7693) to arrive. 3

I'm assuming up to 8362 were built in 2018, and past that in 2019. We'll have to see the VINs.
