FelixINX
Unfortunately, Transit Tracker v2 will not be accessible for the next days. My server had a problem yesterday and has not been able to start since. You can still access version 1, which is on a different server : https://felixinx.github.io/mtl-gtfs-rt/ Sorry about this interruption and I will let you know has soon as it's back online. EDIT: The app is now working on a new server.
FelixINX
Transit Tracker version 2.1.0 is now available. For this version, I have worked on the user interface like the home page and settings page. There are no new features, but I hope it will make the experience better for new and existing users. I also made improvement regarding the reliability of the application, which was not really good in the past week, everything should be fixed now. If the app is empty after the update, please clear your browser cache: https://support.qlik.com/articles/000041435 I have also created a Twitter account where I will tweet some stats, updates and news about the application: https://twitter.com/ttrackerca For users of the first version (on Github), you will see a dialog inviting you to use version 2 in the upcoming days. The version 1 will continue to work, but I will not make any further updates.
Transitfan39
One thing that I found difficult is when I looked for a specific bus on a route, I saw the bus but I had no idea where it was or which direction it was going... when I go to the station to transfer to the route, a completely different type of bus arrived... Maybe make it easier for the user to find the direction the bus is going or the estimated time that bus would arrive at a metro station

However, you should be able to see the headsign for must vehicles and the direction for all, except STM (they don't provide it). The goal of Transit Tracker is to provide an overview of the public transport network and to find out which buses are on which lines. The main "selling point" of my app is the ability to see fleet numbers. You can also see buses on special lines, like school and industrial extras. The app was never intended or made to be used as a schedule app. I don't have the resources or budget to add this functionality and there is plenty of app that do it way better that I could ever do it, like Chrono and Transit.

FelixINX
Transit Tracker 2.2 is now available. This update focus on the performance of the app, with the most noticeable difference being the map tab. On phones and even computers, the map was previously "laggy" and unresponsive. By changing how the map is rendered, there is now a big performance gain. Also, there is a new links section in the bottom sheet (when you select a vehicle and then expand the footer). You can now access the new GTFS Tools website by @Gerbil and FleetStats by @Blue Hybrid Bus and @West Island Transit Fan. I am also gradually adding CPTDB wiki pages for all agencies.
FelixINX
Version 2.3 is now online! I have added support for multiple GTFS Realtime fields, updated the map table and added route shapes. Theoretically, if the STM adds the occupancy status to its feed, it should be automatically visible in the application. With these new changes, I will add new agencies that were previously incompatible: Société de transport de Sherbrooke GO Transit Grand River Transit Guelph Transit Barrie Transit Expect to see them in the coming weeks! FelixINX
The Société de transport de Lévis is now the 30th agency on Transit Tracker! For the other agencies in Quebec, I am expecting a return from the Société de transport du Saguenay (STSag), which should open its data in the coming months. Unfortunately, the Société de transport de Trois-Rivières (STTR), the Société de transport de l'Outaouais (STO) and the Réseau de transport de la Capitale (RTC) do not seem open to the idea of sharing their data.

It truly is unfortunate because from an agency's point of view, it costs almost nothing to give realtime feeds to developers. Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't understand why they want to keep public information for themselves. For example, I found the STTR feed, but if they don't want me to use it, I won't. On the other hand, STLévis was super happy to share its data with me, first developer outside Google and Transit, and they even shared my app internally. I hope these agencies will change their mind one day. In Montreal, we can see that open data brings a lot of unique applications: Transit Tracker, GTFS Tools, Fleet Stats and there will be more!

FelixINX
Update: Even though realtime data is back on the STM website and partner applications, the feed for third-party developers is still down. Once it's back, Transit Tracker should pick it up automatically.

The STM API is still down for third party developers and I have no control over that. I just send them an email to see if they have an ETA, but I think it's just not their priority for now. All others agencies are working.

MTL66
I noticed something when I was comparing the tracking data to the STM fleet roster I got the other day. A lot of buses seem to have a default tracking of February 3rd, 2021, including some units who have been inactive for longer than that or were retired long ago (2002 buses). Is this a bug with the data or just a fluke I came across recently? Edited March 22, 2021 by MTL66

MTL66
For some odd reason, all the bus numbers for the exo properties were changed to their VIN Numbers. I don't know if this is an error from the tracker or exo changed all the bus numbers to their VINs in the real-time data.

I don't know if this is an error from the tracker or exo changed all the bus numbers to their VINs in the real-time data. Looks like exo has changed the vehicle.id field. I'm not sure if this is a bug or a permanent change. I will be manually adding the fleet numbers according to the wiki pages. It is possible that I cannot find all the buses, in this case, a form is available if you know the fleet number. For those who download the data, you have to be careful since the buses will be there twice, once with the VIN and once with the fleet number (in the ref column). FelixINX
Update on exo fleet number situation: I have manually tagged 388 out of 559 buses, with the wiki as the main source. There is still 171 vehicles with no label, and I believe there will be a little more each day as more buses are entering services. I expect that some fleet numbers will be incorrect due to various reasons (wiki information incorrect or not up to date, typo made by me). If it's the case, please report it. And a big thanks to everyone that has contributed and adding some fleet number, it really helps!
FelixINX
Transit Tracker 2.4 - A new experience This update aims to improve the user experience through the app, especially for new users. Here are the key points: A new "landing page" which presents the different regions (as in the screenshot above). Navigation between tabs is now located at the bottom. New location for settings. Automatic dark mode. And much more! Please note that you may not see the new version instantly, since the site is now served from a new server (your browser may take up to 24 hours to detect the change). https://www.transittracker.ca

I've noticed a few bugs: The sorting by vehicle number doesn't seem to work (although it does with the other columns): The filter turns up unexpected results (seems to be any route with '5' and '1' in this case) And the table doesn't display properly on mobile:
