TTC Electric Buses

This was a promotional photo posted by the Deputy Mayor for Transit Worker Appreciation Day. Do you think they took this bus out just for the photo op, or are New Flyers beginning to be put on service on Birchmount Routes?

Likely would've been done just for the photo op. It's hard exactly to tell where that was taken, but they could've just put up a random route on the sign while at the division.

Two XE40s have been at Birchmount for a while, and according to one member have been doing "in-service training" on multiple routes. But none have officially entered service on a scheduled run.

The photo was taken at Kennedy Station

If that's 3720, which it probably is since the photo was taken today, it did 113 Danforth this morning. In-service. This same bus and 3715 have been doing in service and out of service testing/training and whatever for a little while. Some people have posted pics of them on Instagram as well.

It should be next board when they enter service, and it might actually happen this time. But keep in mind they were supposed to enter service all the way back in November/December and it kept getting delayed

There was actually a point in time where almost all of the 10 of them were at Birchmount garage (november or december) but once they realized it wasn't going to happen so fast, all of them except these two back to Arrow to do their work

Based on the Deputy Mayor's Twitter account, this photo was taken at Main Street Stn. This would have been taken today apparently.

No, that's not main street, it doesn't look like that. I see Main Street a couple times every week. The XE40 pic is at Kennedy. It did 113 Danforth while they were on it

Kennedy has the green fences and that type of wall behind atm

Is it not the 23 Dawes platform sign that's in view, which is right next to the collector booth, with a 23 Dawes bus?

Yes in those sets of pics there are some Main Street photos. However they did 113 Danforth with it and visited Kennedy as well, they also posted pictures with the Kennedy train cleaners here:
