  • 22-379 doing the 460 EB at DuCollege Metro at 15h46

  • 22-300 doing the 41 EB at Pie-IX / Jarry around 21h20 (got on it)

iBus: Frontenac's 22-416, St. Laurent's 22-331 on the 460 along with 22-268, St. Laurent's 22-309 on the 168 again and also their 22-338, 22-261 on the 18, 22-323 on the 29

Can I make a suggestion here?

This topic was meant for RETIRED 22-xx buses.  It ended up as a "bus in service" thread instead over the time...  It would be a smart move to start another page for 22-xxx buses in service or rename this thread...

?

I don't know why the usual posters in this thread did not comment, but I will offer the choice... the thread can be renamed if we have consensus.

I personally have no vested interest since I don't care for most STM buses, least of all 2002 buses that I frequently drive at RTL...

I thought that the reference for the retired buses was the first post on Page 1 courtesy of updates from Joseph and others. That being said, I do not think that the topic title is inaccurate. At the same time, if there are true fans of the 22-XXX series, they can converge of this topic and post here instead of wasting time and bandwidth in Today's Sightings thread.

Personally, I think that a retirement watch thread is a dedicated thread for any sightings of soon to be retired buses. This way we can see which buses are still in service and it avoids clutter in the Today's Sightings thread. Looking back at the old classics and 1st gen retirement watch threads, they were also used to post any sightings of those "endangered" buses.

22-221, 238, 243, 251, 264, 265,  280, 283, 287, 288, 293, 297, 299, 327, 329, 336, 342, 357, 371, 377, 381 parked outside CT SL. Bold buses indicate that they are not marked as inactive/garage on Gerbil's spreadsheet. 22-342 had its rear bottom hatch open.

Agreed. Being able to track the buses on iBus does make the thread less useful, since I can directly update the spreadsheet by checking there but it's still fun to note down the sightings and post about them.

Since we rarely get info on retirements, tracking the active buses is the best way to know which are left in service. I'm sure most of the 69 buses marked as inactive won't be coming back.

22-373 was on the 90-W near Cavendish around 16:55 on Saturday.

22-347 was on the 119-S at Jean Talon around 17:50 today.

Yesterday:

  • I took 22-397 on the 90-E during AM rush (LE extra 460-69). I've got to enjoy these LE extras while I can, since I highly doubt there will be any more after LE loses the 55 and 460.
  • 22-343 was on the 90-W on Upper Lachine around 8:15 doing LE extra 90-06.
  • 22-281 was En Transit at Des Pins/Peel around 8:50.

Today:

  • 22-349 was parked En Transit at McGill around 9:30.
  • 22-416 was on the 24 in the afternoon.
  • 22-360 was on the 90-E at Upper Lachine/Oxford around 17:25.

Yesterday:

  • I took 22-360 on the 90-W leaving Atwater around 17:16. I also saw it at Atwater leaving on the 9:34 departure. It was the first 90 of the day (4:55; run 90-04).
  • 22-359 was laying over at Atwater on the 138 around 17:15.

Today:

  • 22-348 was doing an SL extra on the 90-W near Cavendish around 8:20 (90-16).
  • I took 22-362 on the 144-E leaving Atwater at 8:50.
  • 22-363 was broken down at Atwater around 17:55. The tow truck arrived around 18:00. I had hoped to take it on its scheduled 18:01 90-W departure, but it was replaced by 30-044.
  • 22-360 was laying over at Atwater on the 90 around 17:55. It ended up doing the 18:09 WB departure, as per iBus.

22-363's motor was idling at a high RPM and was very loud. The mechanic was friendly and offered to let people sit inside it while they waited for their buses. I think it had been sitting there since at least 15:45, since the 15:44 departure for that run (110-51) was canceled.

22-400 returned to service after being MIA since September. It was tracking on the 170 today.

12/8/18

  • 22-345 doing the 70 WB passing the McDonalds near Cote Vertu around 14h25
  • 22-404 doing the 968 WB at Cote Vertu Metro at 14h54
  • 22-355 doing the 161 WB at Rosemont Metro at 15h48

22-404 still has the bigger lights and 22-355 is back at St. Denis and yes, it is still painted!

12/9/18

  • 22-366 doing the 95 WB at Galeries D'Anjou terminus around 14h15
  • 22-323 parked outside Frontenac
  • 22-221, 22-243, 22-251, 22-264, 22-265, 22-280, 22-287, 22-290, 22-293, 22-297, 22-299, 22-327, 22-329 and 22-377 all parked outside St. Laurent

iBus: 22-355 and 22-368 on the 18, 22-369 and 22-373 on the 161, Legendre's  22-400 on the 170 (this bus came out late in the afternoon) and their 22-268 on the 36, St. Laurent's 22-309 on the 211

22-293 was the only bus parked on the Thiemens side. Every bus outside St. Laurent except for 22-280 has no rear ads. 22-323 was sitting at Frontenac a few weeks ago but it was in service recently and now back sitting outside. From my photo there seems to be a red sticker of some sort taped over the driver's console screen.

Sunday:

  • I took 22-372 on the 90-E around 8:15.

Yesterday:

  • I took 22-362 on the 144-E at 8:50. A bit of a déja vu since I had the same bus on the same departure with the same driver on Friday.
  • 22-364 was arriving at Atwater on the 144-W around 8:50.
  • 22-398 was on the 24-E at Sherbrooke/Atwater around 8:55.

I took 22-346 on the 90-E at 8:15 this morning (LS run 110-49).

I took 22-362 on the 8:50 144-E (144-68) for the third time in the past week. I neglected to mention before that it has fabric insert seats. My last 144 ride in a 2002-2004 LFS will probably be in the next week since the route is going to MR next year.

I took 22-268 on the 90-W leaving Atwater at 16:42.

I managed to only ride 22-xxx today. Although, it wasn't by chance since I timed myself by checking iBus.

I took 22-395 on the 90-E around 8:05. (LE extra 460-69).

I took LE 22-380 on the 90-W leaving Atwater at 15:09. It was running out of LaSalle but was right behind LaSalle bus 24-206 which was doing a Legendre extra.

22-247 was on the 105 leaving Vendôme around 17:20.

It seems like LS and SD have swapped buses again. 22-360, 363, 372 and 373 have returned to SD, while 22-362, 369 and 370 were tracking at LaSalle today. 22-350 also moved to LaSalle over a month ago but it disappeared after a week and hasn't been seen since.
