As I understand these buses run on express routes and on the highway. Anyone know if future orders will have to be equipped with seatbelts? I’m curious because GO Transit’s new SuperLos have seatbelts due to the new requirements that came into effect September 2020.

I posted about this on the transit Vancouver discord but was never able to get a conclusive answer. I'd guess only time would tell, and see if they're installed once they're delivered.

Hard to imagine how seatbelts could be installed on the current double decker seats. This regulation might affect Victoria although theirs run on city streets more often.

A new unit was just spotted today at approximately 10:50 AM ET on US 30 in NE Indiana. It's still unnumbered but will probably be in the 21400 series. It was apparently headed to final assembly in Goshen, IN. Perhaps members in or around Goshen could look out for them.

I had seen there was one of a member put up on instagram few weeks ago

One of the new units were spotted in Arizona, which is strange as there appears not to be an ADL-related plant there. The units will be numbered 21401-21425. It was photographed together with a Las Vegas unit. - https://www.instagram.com/p/CXI2iY_FeEK/

Also, has any unit from this 2021 order arrived at any of CMBC's facilities yet, and whether there's a definitive delivery schedule?

I wonder if they were shipped into a port in California or Texas or something from the UK or another plant overseas.

No. They are built in Indiana, going via Arizona is likely just a odd routing they have to take to get here.

No, but there was one spotted on a barge going across to Vancouver Island, I believe for its PDI (Pre Delivery Inspection)

Spotted 21401 and 21402 driving along Highway 17 towards the Tsawwassen ferry terminal. Likely going to the island for inspection, but not totally sure.C94CC2E6-80B5-4942-BA75-4FB9FA8113F7.thumb.jpeg.aeed61edf31302d318fd2af072360d91.jpeg665CA960-0BF2-4AFD-A69B-E4673206924C.thumb.jpeg.b2df24f119353f7a6978870f7009d4e0.jpeg

I was curious about that. They seem to have ended up on the ferry, though I kinda just forgot to check what happened to them after taking this photo lol
