Doesn't surprise me. The 2002s are 17 years old. You can tell if its an 02 just by the A/C unit on the roof.

That applies to any unit under 0910 if I'm not mistaken. 9111+ has an AC unit at the back

Edit: Nvm... Apparently, there is a funky ass AC on the roof only on the 02XX. Similar to the NovaBus Classics...

I’ll ask a driver friend of mine to investigate the matter of that bus (the lfs on death row). Everybody PLEASE take note of all 02xx spottings and report them to the spotting thread

WOW! Spotted during the weekend. THAT'S RARE.

Could of been on a Maintenance test drive or it was chartered for a event.

Nope; they were delivered that way.  Here's 0203 in November 2002:

What in the.... No that A/C is used on many pre 2008 Nova's. Regina has nothing to do with the STO.

You do realize the LFS is popular all over Canada (and the States), right?

Especially in Québec.

In the same way Winnipeg and Brandon loved (Western) Flyer and Ontario loved Orion

Someone crorrect me but I do believe Quebec transit agencies(publicly owned) are forced to buy Quebec made bus Nova,Van Hool. So it not like they got tones of options.

Montreal has already retired most of its 2002's and already started scrapping 2003's so i'm not surprised that STO is doing the same.

If you've seen a few pages back

@dudebrains provided us with photos of the 3 retired units (9131, 9133 & 9224)

My role as administrator is to read threads from start to end. What is your point exactly?

02 nova retirement.

It seems the spotting of the nova on “death row” occurred during a parking shortage outside of the Hull garage.

There is no longer a nova on death row.

in other news, I saw EVERY SINGLE CLASSIC today!!!!!!!

I imagine the older Nova will start retiring next year (along with the Classics) since the STO is expecting a very big order of Hybrids (The biggest order ever made beating 2012's order of 33 buses)

So, none retiring as of yet. That's good to hear. I was downtown twice this week and only spotted one 02XX, 0203 to be exact.
