Spotted 9132 this AM on the 767 -> École secondaire de l’Île. She’s getting really rusty!

I had the driver sign the bus up to “En ville, sans ma voiture!” (In town, without my car!) for pictures.

What routes are they primarily on nowadays or is it possible to see them anywhere in Gatineau/Hull?

They seem to go on any, but mainly peak periods with some evening trips after the PM peak. Most classics are back in the garage by 7pm usually

Thanks. I'll keep that in mind come BHA.

You realize that if you are going on the charter with SMS on June 5th you will have a chance to ride a Classic. He will substitute it if they can't get 7901 back on the road.

I'm going two days before that charter but thank you for that. I'm thinking of perhaps going to get some STO photos on the Tuesday. You forget that I have already tendered my registration for the convention and am in contact with the organizers.

The STO is very big on interlining, meaning that a "voiture" (run) is not assigned to only one route, so a bus may start a run on the 68 from the Gatineau Garage, end up at Cégep Gabrielle-Roy, become a 37 Ottawa and then end up as a 55 Allumettières (in Aylmer). This means the Classics may be anywhere at anytime. It really depends on luck and the number of LFSs that are broken

I toured the STO garage on Thursday.

My tour guide did confirm with me that the Classics along with some of the 02s and 03s will be gone by next year with the order of 43 Hybrid buses

The folks at the Hull garage are awesome.

I can't wait to see the 02s and 03s gone, their ride quality just isn't all that great.

But they have the old Cummings engine that I loved on OC's 97XX fleet ☹️

This will then make the 2004s the only second gen LFSes to retain the old livery as well.

0511, 0801 & 0905 still have the old livery too.

9136 -> Fin de service (Goulin station *heading east* @ 1:09 PM)

I am finally catching up to sightings from last week during the BHA convention. I did see 9136 on Monday 3 June in pm rush on the 100 direction Labrosse on the Rapibus corridor in the vicinity of the Casino while I was on a westbound 400. I opted to alight at Terrasses de la Chaudière to witness the transit scene. At about 5:13 pm, 9134 was on a Plateau-bound 25. Not long after, I got on 9136, now signed up as a 59 direction Aylmer. This was not long before 5:30 pm.

On Wednesday 5 June, our charter bus was 9136. I was a little glum to receive a bus I had already chartered, but the spirits of the 39-41 participants were not dampened. I think that everybody enjoyed the comfortable seats in this vehicle! The STO was kind enough to program WELCOME BHA 2019 on the Luminator destination sign, echoing a favour that they did for me back in 2017...

On Thursday 6 June, we saw the following buses at Hull garage: 9135, 9134, 9132 in the active/repair lines (there may have been two other buses but I did not photograph them); 9411, 9516, my engagement bus 9131, and 8907 in the dead line. PM rush in downtown Hull (Laurier at Maisonneuve / Portage Bridge): 9136 on 55 Ottawa via Portage at 3:52 pm, 9138 on 59 Ottawa via Portage at 4:01 pm.

Finally, on Saturday 8 June, I undertook a private night charter, the bus assigned was 9134. Despite the Balios (I prefer the green flipdots), everybody had fun. This was our first night charter with the STO.

From what we can extrapolate above, 9134 and 9136 appear to be the most reliable Classic buses in the fleet. It is no surprise then that these buses were dispatched to us.

Hopefully we can get 9225 or 7901 next time around. I know 7901 is not in "revenue service" but I'd hope they be more open to allowing 7901 come out on the road once a year.

If we could do a night charter that would be lovely as well.

The STO seems to like programming a code for every event, which I think is awesome. A few weeks ago, a driver (whom I will not name) retired and I saw a hybrid driving around with "BONNE RETRAITE[DRIVER'S NAME]!

By the way @SMS, you TOTALLY nailed your proposal on 9131. That was awesome.

Depending how good the Christmas lights set up is around Ottawa or Gatineau. You could do a Christmas lights charter.

I had the good fortune of riding on 9132 yesterday afternoon. The 27 run from downtown to Hautes-Plaines. I had not been on a Classic in quite a while and the bus seemed to be running well for a 28 year-old.
