Well I’m back with more sad stuff...

according to 2 separate inside sources, there are only classics left, 9134, 9136, 9137 and 9225. This means everything else has been retired (Now I really feel bad about not getting a pic of 9138 dead on the highway)

I will try to get in touch with the STO to see about getting info for the last day of service, but it now seems the sto is kinda merciless, and as soon as one breaks, it’s dead for good.

Your source is WRONG

This is 9132 still in service

Taken just now at Terrasses D Chadier.

You missed the point. There has been no official word that 9135 has been retired yet it could still show up. 9132 is still active as shown above and 9138 has retired due to an engine failure as mentioned earlier.

The point is that @dudebrains source may have been wrong and not reliable. We'll just have to go Classic hunting ourselves to confirm.

It's like what happened last Fall when 9131 & 9133 were missing in action only to find them dead at the back of the garage.

I still trust him. I think this was a slip-up, after all, he did give us that bombshell report. Even SMS's source was wrong. I'll be riding a classic tomorrow so I'll see if I can find it.

One thing i just noticed with 9132. Is it has a Next stop announcement system installed (cant remember if the one that was chartered last summer had one installed or not)

All ex-Calgary units had/have a N.S.A.S. STO originals were never retro fitted with a N.S.A.S. if I'm not mistaken the next stop announcement system has been installed on those classics when they were first delivered.

I took a ride on one back in Summer 2015 and they didn't have the NSAS installed yet as shown in the video below.

Interesting... When did the NSAS come out for the STO anyways?

I guess my source may very well be wrong, as I spotted 9135 of all buses on the 59 Ottawa. I am very sorry about the confusion caused. I strive to provide all of you with reliable information and I was relayed the same information by 2 seperate sources from the STO (an inspector and a driver).

@STO_1601, please make required changes to the list.

The pic is 9135, sorry about low quality. The lighting doesn’t show the number.

9137 -> 85 Coté-des-neige (Wellington / Metcalfe @ 3:55 PM)

9138 -> 200 Labrosse (Wellington / Metcalfe @ 3:55 PM)

9135 -> 100 *Rivermaid?* (Goulin station @ 4:44 PM)

9138 -> 400 Ottawa (Labrosse station @ 5:04 PM)

@OCTranspoMaster just reported that 9138 is still active too despite its engine failure last week.

Speaking of that it seems the engine had a hard time getting into 3rd gear. I've recorded the whole trip and when you listen to it you'll see what I'm talking about.

That should be 100 Labrosse (as only the 800 goes to Rivermede POB)

Also note that the 100 is a Peak Direction route

Just for the record:

My guess is, they will be all retired once the new 9 hybrids start service in Late-Spring - Early-Summer.

One sure fire way to know when they retire is knowing if the Sto renews the Saaq plates on a unit (or all remaining units)

9134 was out today too. Unknown route seen at De La Gappe EB. I was lucky to get 9138 on the 29 from Wellington / Metcalfe around 18h15. This bus runs better than the 2010 I was on before!

Should be either routes 100, 200, or 800. If not it must be a route in the 30/40s that serve Freeman park and Ride

40s (and 50s) serve Aylmer, it's 20s and 30s for hull, (and freeman POB), though i do believe there is one 6X bus that does go to freeman.

I knew I made a little mix up somewhere. Just too lazy to check the wiki after working 8h 🤗
