KMB_BUS
I couldn't find a YYZ Spottings thread for Toronto after searching the General Aviation Discussion, so I created one and hopefully people can contribute their pictures of airplanes to this thread. Planes can be small or big, private and or commercial owned. Here are a few shots from yesterday at Airport Road from the runway 23 landings and approaches. by KMB BUS, on Flickr by KMB BUS, on Flickr by KMB BUS, on Flickr by KMB BUS, on Flickr by KMB BUS, on Flickr

KMB_BUS
Disappointed in this as I was hoping for more fanfare and celebration, but this was a surprise as the first Airbus A350 for Toronto Pearson came in late at night after it diverted too CYYZ while enroute to KJFK. Not my video, but hope to see it in daylight.
Chris H
What is the best spot at YYZ to do some airplane spotting? Any good spots that can get a view of the taxiway, runway, and airplanes rather close without the hassle of police?
Enzo Aquarius
There's a Petro-Canada/Wendy's on Airport Road at the end of Runway 23 that is very popular for plane spotting. Anytime I go by there's usually people in the area taking photos. Note that this all depends on how the runways are being used, but it's one of the most popular spotting locations when plane's land westerly on 23. Enzo Aquarius
Heads-up that June 7th, 2020 is the currently scheduled last day of service by Delta of McDonnell Douglas aircraft to YYZ. Service will be switching to Airbus A320 on June 8th.

John Oke
I’ve been noticing a lot lately from several US cargo operators Atlas Air and National to name a few have been flying from YYZ-TLS(Toulouse, France) lately with a 747-400F. I started to notice it in the past month some departures have been in the middle of the morning about 9:30AM and the others at about 10:30PM. Does anyone know why? Is this a new popular cargo route? And what could it possibly be shipping. I can probably rule out parts for Airbus because YMX would make more sense because it’s an A220 assembly line

One seemed to be an ex Lufthansa and the others were too far to tell. Terminal #1 Was it in a freight or commercial configuration? If it was commercial, Lufthansa and KLM use 747-400s. Strange you saw 3.
John Oke
Just a heads up that Air Italy is ceasing all operations on February 25th and is going into immediate liquidation which means they'll no longer be flying to YYZ in the summer from MXP. The reasons are due to the MAX 8 groundings https://www.cnn.com/2020/02/11/business/air-italy-collapse/index.html
John Oke
I’ve seen some rumours but haven’t been able to confirm on some other Aviation forums that Lufthansa may be upgrading their flight to YYZ from FRA from a 747-400 currently to a A380 or 747-8i

9924
6 hours ago, John Oke said: This isn’t a Vegas Golden Knights charter Seeing that G4 doesn't fly to anywhere in Canada, obviously it is a charter flight. There's a big construction convention in Vegas this week, so I would guess that would be why. LAS gets lots of cool charters from all over the world during big conventions, last week KLM had some flights going in, last time I was there, EL AL had some flights. Delta does charter flights globally out of LAS, etc.

TTC Guy
We are about to lose KLM's 747-400's and 747-400M Combi's to YYZ because of an early retirement due to COVID-19. I know that there is another topic addressing this but I still thought it was relevant to say as the 747's serve Toronto daily.
