Lehigh and Nothampton Transit Authority (LANTA)/Carbon County Community Transit (CCCT)

LANTA is a transit service located in the Lehigh Valley. Most of the buses are New Flyer D40LFs with Detroit Diesel Series 50 and Gillig buses with Cummins ISB engines. 21 out of the 83 buses in the LANTA fleet are hybrids. For CCCT though, that is definetly a different story. Hope you like GMC Shuttle buses because thats all CCCT is.

Has anyone here taken any pictures of LANTA buses or knows the fleet for 2017? I know 21/83 buses are hybrids but I don't know anything after that.

Recent pictures from FB The Bus Lounge and PMATS showed that LANTA has recently acquired Gillig Advantage Low Floor CNG buses.

It seems that LANTA has been buying buses from Gillig for around a decade, if not more. I would not be suprised if the retirement date for the remaining New Flyer buses in their fleet is soon.

Interestingly, they used to have operated Orion I buses that had Detroit Diesel 6V71N engines and Voith D851.2 transmissions! They would sound similar to Brampton Transit's 1988-90 Orion Is (with the Detroit Diesel 6V92TA engine and Voith D863.2 transmission), but slightly different:

8721-8730, 01.502 30', built 1986-87
8931-8935, 01.502 30', built 1989
8936-8950, 01.507 36', built 1989

#2046 (2019 40' Gillig Low Floor CNG) was involved in a rollover incident of some sort while entering a freeway. The operator sustained injury, but no passengers were on board at the time.
